I haven’t listened to this yet but I missed out on Syclone. Now over 100 bucks on eBay. In Australia, It’s been hard to collect these. Most I’ve had to go to eBay. I have no idea why Mattell who has offices all over the world and even one here, why it’s so hard to get these. Their head office is 40 40-minute drive. I may visit them or at least make a phone call.🤷♂️
I frequently hear the accusations but I wonder if bot programs are really being used to snatch action figures from real purchasors.
@elder that’s the only way to explain how total Z-listers like Lord Gr’Asp and Terroar sold out in less than a minute.
Great conversation this one! Keep em coming!
Or they only had 100 to sell because most of the Lord Gr’Asps and Terroars are hanging out in Mexico with Duplico. 🤣
About the Origins sell out vs Masterverse not excerpt; contrary to popular narrative Origins in addition to trigger nostalgia buttons also work great as kids toys with, by now, all the cool vehicles and playsets plus a TV show that works well even now; probably even better since it has no real equals in todays programming. Masterverse are “merely" cool figures. When I had my kid cousins (boy & girl which are both into MOTU and have a solid Origins collection together) over for visit they where all over my Origins but gave the Masterverse figures just a passing look.
I do not think they produce intentionally less Origins than Masterverse by now. Maybe at the beginning. And maybe intentionally less Origins than they know they should. But it is very unlikely they do not know by know where the mass appeal is.
@lurker-man I watched it too. I don’t see the video posted here because I guess it’s just a clip. I will post it here.
My favourite question raised is why not make more Origins figures if you consistently sell out in minutes? I don’t have an education in business but that seems pretty easy for me to understand that you will sell more if you make more. Isn’t sales good for business?
