Did the New Synopsis for ”Masters of the Universe: Revolution” just tease Granamyr the Dragon?

Today was an extremely exciting day for fans anticipating Masters of the Universe: Revolution, when the first official clip for the upcoming 2024 series dropped during the Netflix DROP 01 event and featured an epic battle between He-Man and Scare Glow.

Well thanks to AnimationWorld.net, we also have obtained an updated official synopsis for the sequel to Masters of the Universe: Revelation. Let’s check it out:

Masters of the Universe: Revolution Synopsis:

It’s technology versus magic when He-Man and the heroic warriors face the forces of Skeletor and something more in Masters of the Universe: Revolution — the new epic chapter in the battle for Castle Grayskull!

Nothing new so far. But wait, there’s more!

“(continued). The newly mechanized Skeletor, armed with the might of Motherboard, attacks the heart of Eternia while Prince Adam grapples with a new responsibility and what that means for him as He-Man! Adam is forced to choose between the scepter or the sword, and a life as either the King or the Champion!

Uh oh. It actually says Adam “grapples with a new responsibility” and is “forced to choose between the scepter and the sword“, between a life as either the King or He-Man. It sounds like at best, King Randor is unable to perform his duties due to being missing, injury, or magic… or at worst, King Randor is dead. We knew that teaser poster looked ominous! Let’s continue.

Official teaser Poster for “Masters of the Universe: Revolution”

“(continued) Meanwhile, the new Sorceress Teela searches for the secret of Snake Magic in the mists of Darksmoke to rebuild a magic realm and help He-Man hold off the greatest threat Eternia has ever faced: the return of the despot Hordak, the ruthless leader of the Horde Empire!”

What? Did the synopsis just say Darksmoke?

For anyone unfamiliar with that name, Darksmoke is an area located in the Ice Mountains in Northern Eternia. It is occupied by many races of Dragons, especially one Dragon that rules them all: The oldest, wisest and most powerful Dragon on Eternia… Granamyr!

Now Showrunner Kevin Smith said over a year ago that there was a good chance that Granamyr would be appearing in Masters of the Universe: Revolution. (That article can be found HERE). But Kevin Smith also said in the same breath that Mekaneck would likely appear too, yet when Executive Producer Ted Biaselli came on the For Eternia Podcast (found HERE), he indicated Mekaneck would not be appearing in the sophomore series (so we didn’t know what to think.)

But now, with the new synopsis mentioning Darksmoke, it looks like there is a really good chance that Granamyr will be appearing in “Masters of the Universe: Revolution”… and we couldn’t be more excited. We shall see!
