We thought this might happen. This past July 14th, SAG-AFTRA, a labor union that represents approximately 160,000 actors, went on strike for better pay and benefits after negotiations failed to produce what they deemed as satisfactory results. This strike meant all actors would stop their work in front of the camera (and behind the voice actor microphone.)
In addition, the strike meant actors could no longer promote upcoming projects which includes interviews, premieres, fan expos, press junkets, festivals, and other appearances which means… you guessed it… no roundtable discussions. And finally it has been sadly confirmed that Masters of the Universe: Revolution voice-actors Chris Wood (He-Man), Melissa Benoist (Teela), Griffin Newman (Orko) and Tiffany Smith (Andra) will no longer be participating in Thursday’s SDCC roundtable.
The good news is, while some studios have canceled this year’s San Diego Comic-Con events over actors inability to participate, the show will go on for “Masters of the Universe: Revolution”.
Instead, executive producers Ted Biaselli and Rob David will join Kevin Smith in the roundtable discussion about He-Man and Skeletor’s most epic battle yet. Exclusive scenes will still be shown, and even though there won’t be a big, surprise, cast member appearing…. there will still be a big, surprise, cast member announcement!
So will we finally get to learn who is playing Hordak in “Masters of the Universe: Revolution?” Find out by attending this exciting roundtable event held at the San Diego Comic-Con International this Thursday, July 20th at 3:30pm – Room 6BCF. And if you can’t attend the roundtable, stay tuned to ForEternia.com to find out!
We’ll see you next time!
