Season 4 does not appear to be in production for ”He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” per source

Last month, fans of the children’s Netflix 2021 Series “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” were on quite an emotional roller coaster when a fan on Twitter asked a writer on the series “Is the CGI He-Man canceled or is it just taking a while to finish the next season?” and the writer replied with the sad news: “It was not renewed for more“. Days later, as the news received some traction, the writer re-qualified their original statement that there has been no renewal “to my knowledge”, which left open a possible doorway that a renewal happened without the writer knowing. (More information can be found HERE.)

Well now we have been passed information from a second source that we consider reliable. And on a condition of anominity, we were informed that a Season 4 of “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” does not appear to be currently in production.

Considering all 26 episodes of the first three seasons of “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” were all greenlit at once, and the time it takes to produce these episodes is around 18 months to 2 years… if this holds true and is not in production now, there is a big likelihood that we won’t ever see a Season 4 continuing and the writer’s original statement was accurate.

This would result in the Hordak storyline the series teased at the end of Season 3 ultimately not continued, renewed, not greenlit, cancelled or whatever one chooses to call it – at least on Netflix.

Perhaps we’ll see this incarnation of “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” continued in another medium? We already know they will be appearing in Dark Horse Comics’ “Masterverse” anthology series. But could these Motu incarnations geared for a young audience star in another brand new series or on another network? We just don’t know.

If accurate, this will definitely come as disappointing news, especially to fans who were shown screenshots from a website called whennetflix.com where the site indicated a Season 4 was indeed coming this August 17th for “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe”.

But many were unaware that this was the same website that showed fans a couple years ago that a Season 6 of the Netflix series “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power” was coming out in 2022 (and now they are showing it’s coming out in 2024)… all while She-Ra showrunner Noelle Stevenson said Season 5 was the final season years ago.

So when will Netflix or Mattel officially update the fans, or do they plan to update us at all? We don’t know, but if we receive any additional information on “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe”, including sources we have confidence in, we’ll let you know

We’ll see you next time.

    1. Three seasons aint chicken fat yall. That is double what we got for 200x and here they finished the main story. we get lots a teases at the end of series that never happen but at least we got the main series. Silver linings!

That’s a fair point bro. We have been pretty spoiled with Motu riches lately that it’s good to have some perspective. We are still getting comics, Revolution, and a movie. Smile everyone!
