I agree with everyone that the series ended at a good spot (and as such, doesn't necessarily need a season 6). However, ND Stevenson said they were willing to consider a movie (if Netflix was willing to do it). I think a movie could really work. The real question is, what would it be about?
I had a couple of ideas:
1) I've seen this idea tossed around that (some of) the clones might try to reorganize under a new leader (ie some ambitious clone tries to seize power as "Prime the 2nd" / "Second Coming of Prime").
2) They actually visit Eternia, and we actually get to see this universe's Adam / He-Man.
3) Finding the Magicats planet (as shown on one of Horde Prime's screens during that one episode).
What do you think? Do you want to see a movie? Any ideas for the plot?

1. Them trying to save Glimmers mom from the pocket Dispandos?
2. Since Mara appeared in the Portal dimension I got a sneaky suspicion she got released when Glimmers mom closed it?
3. Potential for Catra and Adora to do some construction work would be nice to see! 😍
4. For a ending I think them revealing a new baddie would be neat, and potentially a sequal show? I am aware DreamWorks technically owns new Adventures of He-Man so maybe new Adventures of She-Ra? Tough any character made by Mattel might not be featured unless Mattel wanna make new figures of them in collaboration? 🤔
Masterverse wishlist:
Catra 2018 (season 4)
He-Man 2002 (Snake Armor)
King Hissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss 2002
She-Ra 2018 (season 5)
Skeletor 2002

You know as I was reading these awesome ideas of yours ❤ (sorry to briefly derail your awesome conversation) I started wondering if the live-action She-Ra they are working on Amazon will be modeled after this show. Or could it even be a spiritual continuation of sorts! (Okay, Sorry! Derail done! 😃)

Well one thing I heard early on is it was not gonna be connected to the Netflix version, that made many speculate it would be based on the 80s one? I most say since Dreamworks are involved, that is not completely impossible! It could be a spiritual sequal like Revelation was to the 80s show or potentially a reboot with a mix of the 80s and reboot version? Now if it is 100% purely based on the 80s version that would in my opinion not be a good idea since that would very likely alienate their new fans? Not gonna lie the 80s Show is hilariously fun to but most people that will try the new one are probably fans of the new one rather than the odk one. 🥺1. 1) I heard the showrunners wanted Angela saved, but couldn't work it in due to time constrains. Which, as you mentioned, makes it the perfect plot for a movie.
2) It's pretty much confirmed that Mara died when her ship crashed. According to ND Stevenson's head-cannon, her spirit now exists as a hologram inside the Crystal Palace, alongside the rebooted / resurrected Light Hope. This happened after the magic from the Heart was released. You can see them in the background of this artwork they did.
3) Might be a good place to start the movie. Could have them take part in the rebuilding of Salineas.
4) Maybe. Leading into a new show might be interesting, provided that the crew has a good idea about where to go with the plot.
Overall, those are some solid ideas.
One idea for a sub-plot in the film. As a reference to Netossa mentioning that Mermesta, Perfuma, and Frosta share a weakness to fire, one the villain's commanders (not the main villain themselves) needs to be a powerful flame user, and the three princesses have to work as a team to overcome this powerful opponent.
Idea for actual plot, Adora's birth family (not Randor, Marlena and Adam in this case) are only interested in restarting the Heart Project ("Now that Prime is gone it is time for us to take our true place as Rulers of the Universe"). So Adora has to deal with going up against her blood relatives.

My main idea would actually be to use a reimagined version of Primus as a way to showcase what the universe faces after Horde Prime's defeat. Some people may not remember New He-Man Adventures, BUT that's where Mara came from originally. She was a major character in that series. And she turned out to be one of the greatest parts about the show. So in my opinion, I would say continue with Dreamworks bringing back ideas that weren't fully realized in NHA and bring them back to give them another shot. Like Mara.
I think it can be a good idea to follow up on Adora's goal to bring back magic and peace to the universe, and to show what Masters of the Universe can be like without always having either Hordak or Skeletor's armies as the main villains. The Mutants can be there, and perhaps the story can revolve around conflicts such as power vacuums, bureaucracy, and the dangers of growing fascism which were elements seen in the original as well.
Also, I'd like something like this because, again as I said before: If Masters of the Universe wants to be more varied and be able to survive more via evolving into other interesting stories, it needs to start letting go of always having Snake Mountain or the Horde as the villains in every reboot. Revelation and Dreamworks She-Ra did it so well, BUT I think soon we gotta find other stories that don't revolve around heroic rebellion vs overtly evil dark empires. That's my problem with post-OT Star Wars continuities (both Legends and Canon) AND Transformers shows (it's always gotta go back to Autobots vs. Decepticons). That's also why I think Legend of Korra deserves more respect. It was able to hold on to the better world Team Avatar made but still introduce compelling stories and conflicts that stayed true to Last Airbender and what it was saying.
@thenerdwithasuit Well said. I personally didn't like NHA, but I agree SPOP did an awesome job with their version of Mara.
Those are some good ideas. Given that Horde Prime had "conquered most of the known universe", that's going to be one big vacuum. Plenty of plot potential there.
And I totally agree with you on Korra. Last thing we needed was a ATLA reboot. I was so glad it was a completely new story with completely new characters.

@costume-n00b NHA while not on the same tier as the Mike Young reboot was sort of in the same park with the 2002 reboot. In the sense that it was trying to make MotU more like an actual ongoing story instead of having completely episodic storytelling. It told an overarching story that wasn't exactly good, BUT it did step up to the plate. Both NHA and the 2002 series paved the way for the "Netflix Era" as I like to call it.
Definitely. I always thought doing a live-action ATLA remake was not a great idea (Avatar is still fairly young in nerd culture and look at the last time that was tried in 2010...) and when Mike and Bryan left the live-action Netflix project I wasn't surprised. I'm way WAY more pumped for the new animated movies we're gonna be getting under their leadership in a few years.

I get your point with She-Ra but He-Man is in much better shape than Star Wars with its Snake Men ☆ Evil Horde ☆ Skeletor + Henchmen 3 evil factions. I would be up for introducing a fourth faction but He-Man never lasts long enough to feel overplayed.

@he-dad you got a point. Makes me wish they were continuing the 3D series, as the artbook suggested they were taking it in an interesting direction.

If it was me, I would've planned a Trilogy. The first movie would be between the characters recovering from the war, as well as expanding horizons and bringing magic back the universe, and bringing Angella out of her interdimensional prison. In Classic She-Ra, there was Prince Zed who was the heir to the throne of the Horde Empire and Horde Prime's son, so perhaps even though Horde Prime is gone, Zed takes over what little is left of the Empire, and was Prime's youngest/favorite clone serving as the main antagonist. Although I'm not crazy about the Catradora relationship because to me it felt very rushed and borderline toxic at the very least, I suppose for continuity's sake I would've tried to establish and have them work on their past grievances in a more natural and organic way than what the show ran out of time to do. I would do the same for Bow and Glimmer considering they hinted and touched upon their relationship, but didn't really focus on it. What does everyone think so far?
@deltavax I forgot about Prince Zed. Yeah, you're right. Him being the one clone trying to take control of the fragments of Prime's empire does sound like a legit plot idea.
I don't have any major issues with heroes' relationships, I agree that all of them would still have some baggage to work through. But again, that would make for a good plot.

@costume-n00b Yeah. I just feel like they kind of rushed into Catra and Adora into a relationship just to make it happen, and there are still a lot of baggage between the two. Not to mention, I know this is kind of a hot topic, but I think it would make great plot point to expand Catra's redemption, (Depending on who you ask if she deserves one) because again it was rushed.
@deltavax I agree she earned a shot at redemption (and by proxy, a relationship with Adora), but yes, she needs to do more to atone for everything.

@costume-n00b Yeah, I know the relationship between those two has been a hot topic, but I feel like if more time and effort was put into it, there at least for me, I'd be less bothered by it.
