Long before the Marvel Cinematic Universe made post credit scenes an iconic expectation among modern day audiences, the 1987 live-action film "Masters of the Universe" surprised fans (who happened to sit through the film's credits) with a post credit stinger promising the return of... Skeletor! The surprise "Masters of the Universe" (1987) post credit stinger Of course, 37 years later we know a sequel wasn't meant to be. But now, "Masters of the Universe" director Gary Goddard has given fans a glimpse into what that return of Skeletor may have looked like (if the first film had been more successful).…
We have the Power!
It would have had to have been a huge success to get a movie like that from Canon. I think we would have been more likely to get He-Man is a quarterback lame plot line.
Could it be the same story? Skeletor has to come back no matter how you cut it.
Why has this not neen suggested before? A comic Is a brilliant idea.

Skeletor was going to come back as a Hollywood Director in that version I believe. I'm not sure how you marriage that with this Goddard version, but I suppose it is possible. As far as releasing this as a comic, I don't think anyone wants their name attached to Goddard after the accusations over the years by actor Anthony Edwards and others.

No, he was going to be a corrupt CEO.
Wow! I didn't see that coming. It would have been tempting to think that, had the film been successful, the directors would have insisted on focusing strictly on the conflict between He-Man and Skeletor. There were so many Evil Warriors who didn't have the chance to shine in this movie!
The Cannon script for the sequel can be found online.
Didnt have snakemen, had a lot of other weird non MOTU shit.
It was later reworked into the movie cyborg.
@firefly What accusations?
Goose from Top Gun swears that when he was a little choir boy Gary Goddard behaved like a Catholic Priest.
The new movie is going to be 100 times better than the old one. Count on it.
I get the sense this is fake and was just made up on the fly recently by Goddard to generate buzz.
