Well, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.  And so, this episode, Episode 52, will be the final installment of my Vlog -- Jack Olesker, A Writer’s Life.

I’ve had so much fun reliving that chapter in my life during the Golden Age of Television Animation – all the animated characters, all the wonderful series I worked on, all the real life characters, the toy companies, my mentors and my many friends and experiences at DIC Entertainment.

I hope you enjoyed it, too.  I hope it brought a smile of remembrance to you as you recalled your long ago childhood days.  They were truly wonderful days, they were fun days…they were golden days.

Thanks to the thousands of fans who viewed my Vlog.  As I’ve said so many times, “Writers, producers, directors and actors are nothing without fans” so you have my heartfelt gratitude for being one.

Happy Ness and Sky Dancers! I loved those shows Mr. O!

Sky Dancers aired throughout summer and fall 1997 over here in the UK, usually came on before Power Rangers or Beetleborgs...knowing your friendship with Haim Saban, that must have been a good feeling to have that chosen to be the lead-in to those juggernauts by the schedulers. The Sky Dancer toys were all over the shops at the time, it was a big hit where I was

I watched Happy Ness in 2000 on the Fox Kids Europe channel, also enjoyed it to an obsessive degree, I was way out of the age group and it came in a block aimed at female audiences (the block included Princess Tenko, Princess Sissi, and Gwenevere and the Jewel Riders), but that didn't deter me. For me a lot of female-driven cartoons at the time provided solace from all the testosterone  at school or at work. Sometimes you just need to unwind with simpler, more laid-back entertainment with a lot of empathy as well as as adventure, then get back to growing a beard with the stuff for the boys!

Thankyou so much for all you've done for me. I work on a lot of comic books right now, and I can safe with every confidence I wouldn't be doing what I do now without the influence of all that you had worked on. Enjoy the next phase of the life you lead.

@zarius

Such wonderful words and thoughts, Zarius.  Thank you for them.  I'm grateful I was able to be a small part of your life.

Happy Ness and Sky Dancers were two very sweet series.  I hadn't felt that way about a series since I had worked on Care Bears.  They were a pleasure to write and I think they brought smiles to viewers.  🙂
