@brasco I honestly don't care what the box looks like. If the cost could be brought down by five or ten dollars, I'd be fine with them and being in a brown paper bag with a name written in crayon.

@brasco packaging is part of the cost. Mattel might be saving by not using plastic windows but they'll use it to keep prices the same, claiming inflation doesn't allow them to drop the price all while passing the saving to the CEO, CFOs and shareholders.

Ill still get origins stuff, but im so sick of snakemen crap, and we havent even got word when the lair is gonna hit so that means even more snake crap when they do announce it. Im just in the feeling of, if they are not gonna finish the vintage (all figures and vehicles) just end it now.
100% agreed. Getting sick of those Snakemen figures, especially when there are still regular vintage figures, vehicles and playsets left to be done. The move to MC is going to drag out the completion of the vintage collection by literal years; I could really do without all this "fillter material" :-/ Or at least put them on different release tracks/cycles so that new Snakemen concept characters are going in parallel to the "core" characters and playets/vehicles ...
That said, I am amazed how far Mattel took the Origins line; I just wish they would start to be a bit more focused towards the original goal now that the line is slowly fading out, i.e. re-releasing the vintage line with a modern twist. I kills the fun a little bit, for me personally, that the releases have slowed down so much, include so many characters outside of the "main" line and that I am forced to order one figure at a time now, with super-high shipping costs, every other month or so.
I agree with all of this.
Why can't Mattel just do waves of figures on MC like they do at retail? It would speed things up and allow fans to save on shipping. Why does it always have to be 1 figure at a time? It's taking way too long.
@durendal it might have to do with each figure coming with their own mini comic.

We have the Power!
Got my 2 Night Stalkers no problems. I wonder how many of these Mattel made compared to say Rokkon or Extendar?

There are no Night Stalker shirts or tote bags being sold which means less interest so I would say less.
I despise buying this stuff through Mattel Creations with all the stupid website and check out issues they have all the time. None of my cards would go through when using my phone so I switched to my tablet and I had the exact same problem. So now 15 minutes in and I was praying that he would still be available so I tried PayPal and thankfully it went through. But come on Mattel needs to get their website together because this happens all the time and it's not people's cards it's their stupid website.
@depp76 this shit is always happening to people who don't live in the US. Their international policy is
I got mine Night Stalker while I was dropping a deuce at Walmart.

@smitty-81 ah where most of our best work and ideas are created lol
@durendal I would say that making all these new molds is expensive, but the numbers they produce are way lower than in retail. It’s a “boutique” kind of business, as supposed to the many many stores in retail worldwide.
Which is, to the retail giant, less important and attractive, so they put less resources into it.
(If they outsourced it to a different company, it might go actually faster, but I don’t want to own that can of worms).
Fact is they want to do it themselves, they are making nice new Origins figures, but , yeah, it is slow progress with the Vintage Line-Up.
At least there are some other lines / sublines, to have some fun with meanwhile.
Night Stalker still available
