The action figure reveals keep on coming! Now in 2025, Masters of the Universe fans can also expect an Origins 2-Pack of vintage, classic looking He-Man and Skeletor action figures! Check out these images, some taken at Toy Fair 2025: No other details or pre-order information has been made available but this He-Man and Skeletor duo looks amazing! Thanks to the awesome Stephanie for the 'heads up' and the pics from Toyark! We'll see you next time!
We have the Power!
Genuinely lost count of how many individual takes are in these. The render doesn't even match the prototypes!
Hard pass. I have six or seven of He-Man and Skeletor in Origins and a real vintage of each.

Alright, another He-Man and Skeletor! I absolutely don't have about a million of these!
I'm considering the purchase, even if I've managed to get the'80s original ones. There are indeed some cool details to them, but still my problem remains: I am already collecting the New Eternia line, some figures of the Origins line and some vintage ones. It is already hard for me to pick just the most representative figures of my childhood memories, If Mattel keeps producing new versions of MOTU characters, I'm going broke.

Even worse, these are apparently separate from the Sketch line we now know is an ongoing thing! Mattel are all over the place and thus few are pleased. It's too much all at once. It becomes maintenance instead of a hobby!
They really need to be careful, some of their customer money competition is stellar. GI Joe Classified, Jada and Storm's Street Fighter, Lego, MASK, TMNT in all it's forms, even the DLX Thundercats...
I’m in a tough spot. Sadly I have to sell all of my personal belongings.

Yea, too many versions!
This is what I had wanted instead of Origins; something more like the commemorative re-releases.

I'd consider them but they don't seem to be one thing or the other, like there's Taylor in there, OG initial toy runs, comics, stuff I've never seen elsewhere... mind you, I'm already collecting way too many lines as is!

Pretty much this for me at this point. I think Mattel feels like that's where there profits are. And I reckon this is true to some degree. But there is a point beyond which people get frustrated and lose interest in the franchise as whole. I sure feel that way these days. Mattel constantly gets side tracked within a specific sub line, adds new lines, comes up with weird cross overs and the whole franchise is just a big mess at this point.
Maybe someone working with this sort of stuff can comment, but to me it feels like Mattel doesn't get how "collecting" works for most people. I mean, it's possible that they are really marketing all this stuff at kids, but I got the strong impression over the past few years that most of their MOTU product is bought by 40-somethings who enjoy collecting stuff from their favorite childhood IP. Ah well...

I'm assuming it's a way of tricking retailers who don't realise they're on their fourth Beastman... adults definitely know the score though
