I have never considered myself a collector of anything. But over the last year things have changed. I have recently pre ordered Point Dread/ Talon Fighter, Skeleton Warriors and Snake Mountain. I started out only buying what I say in stores, then I started ordering what I wanted, now I’m pre ordering. It’s all technically for my son (wanting him to grow up with it), but I’m finding so much excitement for him seeing him light up as much as I do when we open a new figure.
MOTU is definitely more than just plastic
Yep. I always limited my figures to Batman and a handful of other DC characters. Last summer I bought the SDCC 40th Anniversary set for one of my oldest friends for Christmas. Now, I'm staring at about half of the Origins and Masterverse figures and Castle Grayskull. I've got Snake Mountain on preorder and am trying desperately to fight off Point Dread and the Talon Fighter..... I always wanted the Roton, too....
There should be a warning label on every little offering of plastic. The risk of addiction is real. Every single time I buy a Masterverse or a Classics figure my body releases a surge of dopamine in my brain. Who would not want more of that?
If you set your goals ridiculously high and it's a failure, you will fail above everyone else's success. -James Cameron
@mike I always wanted it, but could never find it as a kid. Same with the Attak Trak and Battle Ram. I did pick up the Origins Sky Sled/Prince Adam pack, but have fought off the Roton thus far.... But the clock ticks, lol.

Indeed. MOTU is more than plastic. It's community, like us. It's family, like you and your son. It a connection, a common bond of belonging and shared passion that I am so grateful to be a part of. 🙂
