Written by He-Man and Goat Man and Teela, Oh My!
As we still wait for some sort of official confirmation that filming has started for the New “Masters of the Universe” Movie from Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films, another cool image has been revealed featuring three of the film’s actors.
Here we see actors Nicholas Galitzine (He-Man), Hafthor Bjornsson (Goat Man) and Camila Mendes (Teela) posing for a picture that appears to be taken pre or post workout.
Now let’s talk the age of this photo. While we don’t know how recent this photo is, based on the physique of Nicholas Galitzine and beard on Hafthor Bjornsson, we suspect this picture was taken a month or two ago.
Now what is really exciting is what they are using for motivation. Framed on the wall beside them is a still of He-Man and Battle Cat from the classic 1983 Filmation series “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe“… similar to the image below:
Hopefully we will see some official images released by the studios soon, signaling that filming has truly begun.
Filming for “Masters of the Universe” is either currently underway or will be starting soon, with the movie itself scheduled to be released in cinemas worldwide on June 5th, 2026.

I still can’t believe we are going to get a live action Goat man. Once I see that I’ll be like I’m ready to die now. 🤣
He looks so … derpy is the nicest way not to offend. Teela on the other hand, scrumdiddlyumptious.
I think it’s the weight gain. I hope Nicholas isn’t on steroids or hurting his body with those crazy diets and workouts a lot of superhero actors go through. CGI exists for a reason and should be able to enhance the actor. Like Natalie Portman when she was Thor.
Okay, with the recent casting of the Sorceress and Fisto and these bts shots I can truly breathe easy that this movie will actually happen in my lifetime!
Nicholas Galitzine has gotten really big. I saw him in the series he did with Julianne Moore and he had a couple of nude scenes and dude was paper-thin. Which would have worked well for Prince Adam. I’m hopeful but so cautious. A MOTU movie SHOULD be a big deal, what they call an Event Film, so I hope the production knows what they’re doing and can deliver.
