In 2021, Masters of the Universe joined the small number of fictional universes that has its own fully-functional language that fans can read, write and speak.
It’s called HE-LANG, in-universe it’s called “Kudu-Kesh“, and now we have a page dedicated to the study of this exciting constructed language to help any heroic warrior who wants to learn it.
So CLICK HERE and delve into the exciting world of HE-LANG!
We’ll see you next time!
Howdy new tattoo! 😍 Look at all the effort here. I always felt that Masters of the Universe was as interesting as Lord of the Rings and I am so proud this fandom has a language of its very own. It’s like AJ said Pat went the extra mile.
He should be commended for going the extra mile but it may be for naught. Fifteen years ago He-lang would have taken off. Lore was more important then to this community and social media wasn’t a thing. Now this fandom has been overun with kidults with low attention spans. To so many of them it is only about the plastic.
I confess Jonathan I am guilty of wasting too much time on social media. They have these little cute cat videos that show up on Facebook and next thing I know 45 minutes flies by. I could have been reading a book!
This is cool!
I’m still learning english 😂
I didn’t think it was possible to reach the levels of geekdom of Star Trek, and yet here we are.
@durendal I never thought so too. It’s cool!
Can someone help me? If I understand the writing correctly and I may not 😆😆😆 this phrase in the Revelation art book is written wrong. Can someone else take a look at it? My blue writing is the corrections I would make and the red question mark means what the heck is that vowel symbol? 😆😆😆

@gatorrob Hmm, I see what you mean. Let me ask Patrick and see what he says! 🙂
@admin Thanks AJ
I have your answer Rob! The corrections you made are 100% accurate. The Art Book is no longer up-to-date i.e. not the current iteration. The He-Lang page has been updated with the following:
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE ART BOOK: The version of Kudu-Kesh briefly detailed in the “The Art of Masters of the Universe: Revelation" book published by Dark Horse is not current. In Lore, it represents a younger version of Kudu-Kesh. Per Patrick Stannard, Et-nom Ga-hot Fak-res is one of the earliest written iterations of Kudu-kesh when the language was still in its fledgling stage. (Outside of Lore, the language of He-Lang was still being fine tuned as scenes in “Masters of the Universe: Revelation" were being completed.)
However, what we now possess below is the most current iteration of the language, and the most accurate to creator Patrick Stannard’s goals and principles regarding the magical langage of Kuduk Ungol.
You are awesome AJ thank you so much and thank you for asking Patrick. This is great! Now I can jump in and start learning so I can communicate with some of my fellow fans here. I am so excited!
This is amazing that you put this together bro. Keep up the good work!
