New “Masters of the Universe” Movie set photos have been revealed courtesy of deuxmoi, giving fans their first look at actress Camila Mendes in her Teela costume! Check it out:
Paired with actor Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, did Teela come to Earth to possibly bring Queen Marlena’s son back to Eternia?
Either way, Teela and Prince Adam are certainly in a hurry!

Filming for “Masters of the Universe” is currently underway with the movie scheduled to be released in cinemas worldwide on June 5th, 2026.

The costume does look cheap but I like it. When she was first cast, I thought Camila Mendes was an odd choice but I have to say, she looks fantastic!

Classic Terea and modern at the same time. I like it!
You can see from the reverse shot that she is wearing the traditional Teela leotard, she just has leggings under it. She also has the traditional Teela red boots, and they are wedges like the action figure. It seems to have some Revelation elements as well. The only thing missing is the tiara.
She is also missing her arm bands.
Don’t worry @adam_prince-of-eternia I think we will see Teela wearing her tiara at some point.
If I didn’t know this was for a Masters of the Universe movie, I wouldn’t know it was Teela. But in context, this outfit makes perfect sense. It’s a modern take on Teela, something a little more modest, something any parent wouldn’t have a problem showing their kids.
No parent I knew back in the 8o’s had an issue with Teela’s original outfit.
It was just a bikini.

I think Camila looks amazing. I wish her costume looked more like the classic costume but I love the update and I love that they brought back her classic collar.
I’m gonna have to let that look sink in. I don’t mind the costume so much, but I wish it was closer to the classic costume. And where is her tiara? It’s an essential part of her look. Oh well…

camila has similar hair to teela in the revelations series, in particular that scene at the of episode 1 where she has her hair down.

I’m sorry but that suit looks really cheap. It would have had so much more impact as the standard costume because then she’d be a fish out of water while he blends in. But I guess we can’t be having women be considered traditionally sexy now by anyone. God forbid.
The costumes in superhero movies often look cheap in regular photos. It will look better in the actual movie.
Oh yeah, granted, but it’s the ‘too many influences’ making it look Temu. Especially after there was some chat about ‘accuracy’ before.
Randos at Cinema Con said what they saw was cartoon accurate. Maybe we should have checked their fan cards.

I am being serious when I say maybe the tiara fell off. They are not meant for running in real life.

While we expect CAMILIA MENDES to wear *multiple outfits* in the film, it is interesting to see different iterations of TEELA from over the years inspire this costume that was recently revealed in these “Masters of the Universe" Movie set pics.
Yeah…. Teela’s costume is looking pretty cheap. I get that they wanted to go for a more modest look, but honestly this looks like something you’d get at a Spirit Halloween. I’m trying my best to reserve judgement until the final film. Maybe this is just a more regular costume so she blends in more. But Nic needs to keep his mouth closed. Dude is looking GOOFY

I understand what they are going for, and why they have to make adjustments from Teela’s animated / comic appearances, but this just looks like a Buck Rogers holdover.
I feel that if they are going to alter the costume to this extent, then they should have just created an original costume like the ones in the 1987 film.
As it is, this costume tries to be original / practical while holding some semblance of its source material, but just ends up looking cheap.
Hopefully, she isn’t confined to just this one outfit throughout the entire movie.
I was hoping they’d only spend like 15 minutes on Earth, but this makes it look like it will be longer. Teela looks alright. It doesn’t wow me, but it is about what I expected minus the gun.

not hating at all ofc, ig it makes sense like this is how adam gets back to eternia, teela comes to pick him up. kinda like the way hagrid comes to pick up harry potter and takes him to the wizarding world.
but to your point firefly, i too really hope this doesn’t mean that a lot of the movie will be on earth. hopefully, it’s just the like 10 or 15 minutes tops.

Honestly I do not understand the complaints of “Not showing off more skin", like who cares? Personally I like what they are doing and I think it will be easy to replicate for cosplayers. If i had to complain about anything. I would say I would have like to see the material either look more like a high tech weave sort of material or a more “Made from animal hide" look to the material with some plating for the gold parts. But design is subjective. I think she looks great overall and as far as we know so far she isnt fully “kitted" up yet.
I was hoping for something more in line with the vintage figure. Something like live action Xena and Gadot WW with an Eternian sci-fi twist.
Maybe that’s her Earth gear, and she has a costume change or two. REALLY hoping for a tiara or hair up alt look, too.
Now, I’m curious… will He-Man wear pants too?
