  1. Great looking figure but some of it I don’t recognize like He-Man’s sword. I don’t remember it having that green. Christ look at those double jointed elbows and knees. I can see Mondo’s support inbox now.😂Mondo better know what they’re doing.

    1. There was green in He-Man’s sword just a softer green.

Mondo has added additional detail to He-Man by either sculpt or by paint. It is certainly 200x He-Man but Mondo is not trying to reproduce the cartoon by any means.

    1. Have they said exactly how tall this He-man is yet?
I’m thinking he’s going to be too lil to mesh with Classics or Masterverse.
And too big to mesh with vintage 200X…

If someone knows the size of Beast Man we can probably figure it out using this image.

  2. You don’t need to be psychic to guess that King Grayskull will be released as soon as they have the opportunity to offer their first convention-exclusive figure in this lineup. That’s why I’m not going to buy this He-Man, not least due to several obvious deterrent factors within and beyond our community.

  3. He-Man is looking sweet. My only complaint is that the current paint app on the hair is looking a little bit too yellow. Wish it was more of a dirty blonde like the original figure from the line. Digging his little GraySkull base as well. Absolute must purchase.
Saving quite a bit of money and space on 1/6th this year. She-Ra and Swift Wind are an easy pass and so is this Beast Man. I’ve never cared for classic variants or PoP very much (barring The Evil Horde of course). Man-E-Faces is the only figure on the radar right now and I’m guessing he’ll be a fall/late summer release. At this rate 1/6 might get another new figure before year end, but I think it’ll be pushed to start of 2026. Hopefully next year they use the mount budget to give us a Whiplash or Clawful 1/6th figure.
@onlyoneskeletor I can definitely see King GraySkull being offered up at Comic-Con or Power Con. Or maybe a Faker? Obviously, other than personal circumstances I assume the other outside deterrent is tariffs, but out of curiosity what is the deterrent factor within our community? Did I miss something that happened recently? Scare Glow and Scare Mare seem to have been getting good reviews. Or are you talking about the toy community at large rather than just MOTU?

    1. @smokinya You’re right, it’s a bit more general: the tariffs (which nobody can ignore now), the scarcity phenomenon taking up more and more space within the Masterverse line (lucky you!), and the character selection becoming a bit too obvious over time (variants after variants). At the very least, this is making collectors more selective and detracting from the enjoyment of the hobby.

  4. @onlyoneskeletor those are all very good points. Tariffs are top of mind for me since I have to answer questions about it all week at work (work in investment industry) and I’m Canadian to boot. Luckily, it seems like the Liberation Day tariffs are being stopped by the US courts so hopefully they’ll be put to bed and only specific industries will become targeted (of which I doubt the toy industry would be heavily affected). I know they’ll be challenged and we’ll likely still be talking about it in the future, but there are some positive signs. I had to pay $248 of duty just to get Scare Mare which is an insane amount of extra money to pay.
I get why Mondo is pumping out some variant figures. It makes them extra money using the same bucks and requires less retooling than new figures. We need things like Faker and Classic/Mini-Comic Trap Jaw so we can get things like Buzz-Off (pretty sure his tooling will never be reused). Unlike the Spider-Man and X-Men lines there’s a lot more unique tooling that is going into the MOTU figures.
@caliban This Beast Man variant should be the same height at the original timed edition since its using the same buck. Safe to assume its 13-14 inches. I can’t remember the exact measurements of Beast Man, but I know he was taller than 12 inches.
