We are almost there Masters of the Universe fans!
With filming for the “Masters of the Universe” movie reportedly slated to begin this month…. we repeat… THIS MONTH…., it appears that pre-production is really moving along, courtesy of multiple updates from the movie’s cast. Let’s take a closer look at those updates:
TRI-KLOPS
Beginning with actor Kojo Attah, the Tri-Klops star shared a couple of photos this week seemingly in relation to the upcoming “Masters of the Universe” movie. One share was a black image with just three eyes, no doubt a tease of the Evil Warrior “that sees everything” he is about to embody:
And then the next image Kojo shared was a photo of himself flexing in front of a doorway, commenting on the new year:
Now if this is indeed a current image, based on the curvature of the door, the railing and more… we can tell that the Tri-Klops actor is coming out of a typical trailer we usually see on a movie set.
If so, the start of filming is feeling really close!
TEELA
Now on to the Captain of the Royal Guard!
A little over a week ago, actress Camila Mendes showed off a portion of her physical training for her role of Teela.
Seemingly a boxing workout, it appears Camila will be ready for plenty of hand-to-hand combat in what is certain to be a physically demanding role!
TRAP JAW
Our Trap Jaw actor Sam C. Wilson briefly chimed in by sharing some awesome Trap Jaw fan art by Illustrator and big MOTU fan Nicolas Martelle. Check it out:
HE-MAN
And finally we have our He-Man actor Nicholas Galitzine. The most recent photo of Nicholas Galitzine showed the actor with quite a gain of muscle mass.
Now, after being named Emporio Armani’s “new global fragrance ambassador”, Nicholas was asked by Women’s Wear Daily what his training was like for the role of He-Man. Here is what Nicholas had to say:
"It involves three hours in the gym every day - two hours in stunts. It involves a collective of humans trying to massage the knots out of my haggard body, lots of costume fittings and wire work, as well.
"It's probably the most immersed I've been in a prep period. The heavy lifting side of it, both figuratively and literally, began in October.
"The progression already I feel within my body and my capabilities is a very intoxicating thing. I can totally understand now why people become gym-obsessed. It just becomes so addictive being competitive with yourself and pushing yourself. It's been a really great lesson for me overall."
- NICHOLAS GALITZINE
Exciting times!
Filming for “Masters of the Universe” is reportedly slated to begin this month with the movie itself scheduled to be released in cinemas worldwide on June 5th, 2026.
We’ll see you next time!
It won’t be long now!
