Written by As we still wait for some sort of official confirmation that filming has started for the New “Masters of the Universe” Movie from Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films, the newly announced Tri-Klops actor Kojo Attah has shared another image via his Instagram story that has raised a few eyebrows. It is a photo of three ornate swords:
Too intricately detailed to be stunt swords one would simply train with in preparation for a movie role, these blades appear to be more finished blades… or possibly movie props.
Of course anyone familiar with the character of Tri-Klops going back to his vintage roots is familiar with the Evil Warrior’s iconic sword. Could this image contain the actual swords that Tri-Klops actor Kojo Attah will be using on set?
So could these be Tri-Klops’ swords? We doubt the studios would allow any actor to reveal official “Masters of the Universe” movie props to the public (at least not without authorization)… but it is possible!
Filming for “Masters of the Universe” is reportedly slated to begin this month with the movie itself scheduled to be released in cinemas worldwide on June 5th, 2026.

The swords should be green.
While it would be a cool throwback to the toy I don’t think a green sword would appeal to general audiences. One thing to remember about this film is that Mattel is using it to try to grow the MOTU fandom. Appealing to fans is important, but the mythical “general audience" is what all these big companies are after first and foremost.

This is extremely promising- I truly hope they give us this level of detailed authenticity to the classic and iconic look of the brand.
With the way this movie is going, photo probably means, Tri-klops has 3 swords. You know, just because, TRI.

@banthafett that’s a neat theory but i think only one of those swords actually belongs to tri-klops.
i’d say it’s the sword on the buttom right, note the curved crossguard just like the one that his action figures usually come with.
i’m not sure who the other two swords might belong to, tho. but i really like how each one has a unique visual style.
i like the idea of each character owing/wielding distinctive weapons, how very toyetic lol
His three eyes are different and have different abilities, so it would make sense that if he has three swords, they would be as well.
