She has red hair!
Our future Captain of the Royal Guard actress Camila Mendes, who was cast in the role of Teela in the upcoming “Masters of the Universe” movie, took to social media today to show off something very exciting: She dyed her hair!
Yes, Camila is now a redhead in what we assume is in preparation for her new “Masters of the Universe” role from Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films, which is expected to begin filming this January.
Camila Mendes dying her hair red was not a given, especially when one considers actress Chelsea Field did not dye her hair when she played Teela in the 1987 “Masters of the Universe” film from Cannon Films. So we are certainly glad that Camila did.
Filming for “Masters of the Universe” is reportedly slated to begin this January 2025 with the movie itself scheduled to be released in cinemas worldwide on June 5th, 2026.
Thanks to the awesome community member Geeked Illustrator Dad for the ‘heads up’.
We’ll see you next time!
Hawt!
Yall were worried.
So, as of now they are leaning into the faithful side of character design.
Let’s see how long this lasts.
Awesome. It’s already more accurate than the 87 movie.
She did even she did not had too; basically simply because she saw it as the right thing to do to do the character justice? This is already a Teela move! 🤩
@lurker-man I don’t think she has a say. The studio sets her up with a physical trainer to get in shape and it is the art and costume design that decides her hair color.
Hooray for accuracy!
Her hair will look even brighter red in the sunlight. 😻
I’ve never heard of her but she is gorgeous.
Now she just needs blue contacts…
