Back in August, it was announced that actress Camila Mendes was cast in the role of Teela in the upcoming “Masters of the Universe” movie from Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films.
Just one month before, Camila Mendes was cast to star in the upcoming reboot of the 1997 horror film “I Know What You Did Last Summer“. But unfortunately Camila had to exit that horror film reboot because it was set to film in November at the same time she would be training in the United Kingdom for her Teela role. Well now we have learned that training has begun.
Camila Mendes took to Instagram today to announce that she has started her training for Teela. Check it out:

In response, Evil-lyn actress Alison Brie commented on Camila’s announcement with a supportive “Hell yeah!!“.

Filming is reportedly scheduled to begin January 2025 for “Masters of the Universe” and is slated to be released in cinemas worldwide on June 5th, 2026.

I’ll admit that I wasn’t thrilled with this casting. But after seeing the work being put into it, I think she’ll do Teela justice!
I thought she was not the ideal cast, but she’s respecting the role, taking it seriously and, hence, working hard on it. Well done, so far this lady got my respect for being a professional.
She is already in shape so she must be trying to put on some muscle. I wonder how much she is looking to gain.
