41 year old actress Alison Brie, star of the recent television series “Apples Never Fall”, has been cast as the Evil Warrior Goddess Evil-Lyn in the upcoming live-action film adaptation “Masters of the Universe” by Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films.
First announced by The Hollywood Reporter and then subsequently confirmed by Mattel, the fantastic Allison Brie is probably best known for her television roles in “Community” and in the critically acclaimed Netflix Television Series “GLOW”… so playing a feature film fantasy villian will be quite a departure for this talented actress! Hopefully she will crush this beloved iconic role!
With He-Man, Teela and now the Evil-Lyn roles cast, who will be next? Will the rumor that actor Sacha Baron Cohen playing Skeletor (reported HERE) turn out to be true? We don’t know, but stay tuned to ForEternia.com to find out!
Filming is slated to begin January 2025 for “Masters of the Universe”, intended to be in theaters worldwide on June 5th, 2026.

Meh. She was good in Glow but I can’t see her as Evil-Lyn. She better not give Evil-Lyn a Russian accent.

I know Alison Brie as Annie from Community so I know she can bring the sinister and threatening (keep her away from the chloroform)! And she’s gorgeous so I’m all in on this casting!

Bravo! What pleasant news to wake up to! Alison has the acting chops and is a personal favourite of mine. She is at the perfect age and believe me she will be absolutely brilliant as Evil-Lyn.

She is a good actor but I would give the award to Liberty Belle.
I’ve never seen Alison Brie, but she looks like a suitable Evil-Lyn (my favourite MOTU character) so I am happy.

i gotta admit, as much as i do genuinely like alison, she wasn’t my first choice for the role (i was thinking more along the lines of either eva green or rebbeca ferguson)
but we’re lucky to have nabbed alison, she’s a gutsy actress and very talented. i remember enjoying her performance in community (though it’s been a minute since i watched that) and i loved her in g.l.o.w. (i’m a big wrestling fan) so she has my faith.

Alison is a good actress but she may be a little too mousy to be Lyn. Out of Betty Gilpin and Alison I kind of think Betty might be better.
Interesting choice – Alison is a good actress and quite hot. I think she’ll vamp it up nicely as Evil-Lyn. Personally I think she has a look more fitting for Teela, but at 41 she’s way too old to play her.
She’s no Meg Foster.
Not a choice that was in my head at all, but they could have done A LOT WORSE. I like it, now if we could only get that pesky little thing called Earth out of this.
