    1. @kraken I am actually still struggling to honestly understand why so many keep saying that the Origins line is “dominated" or “flooded" with Snake Men figures. I have a box full of heroes and a box full of villains, but like a quarter of a box with Snake Men…

    2. @louka Snake Men dominating the line is a more recent thing. Mattel is more interested in giving us new Snake Men characters that didn’t exist and a Snake Lair over finishing the vintage line. We still don’t even have a Two Bad. They are too busy creating new characters and if it’s not Snake Men it’s Geldor and Demo-Man.

    3. @kraken It is true, for sure regarding the Snake Lair… I guess they are aiming to extend the period within which they will finish the entire vintage line, to keep many of us still in the loop (I guess they are aware of the fact that at least a certain percentage of fans will stop collecting after they have re-issued all vintages?)
Well, if you look at it from their perspective, I guess it is more than normal? After all, it is a toy company, and at the same time it could have also been a bit “boring" just to re-issue all the vintage figures first and only then starting with new figures? You bet that then many would have complained then? I am not sure what I would have done if I were to make such decision (from a financial/corporate point of view).
In the end, to be entirely honest with you, even though my main interest was as a start to get hold again of my lost vintage toys, now my love and interest for MOTU toys expanded together with the expansion of the concept. And figures which I wasnt interested in the beginning, started to grow on me. Basically, I am one of those who love every release! LOL! Give me all things MOTU hehe 😎
Snake Lair was honestly the only thing which i would have hesitated big time to buy as it is so unrelated to anything (in my head at least), and it is not a 30 bucks extra figure.. I am rather dying to put money on a vintage Fright Zone, and the entire vintage PoP line, including Crystal Palace etc – I really hope for this 40th anniversary this will finally happen – also the Cartoon line is extremely exciting for me. But at the end of the day, anyway we can only blame ourselves for the fact that most of the fans voted for the Snake Lair, so there seems to be interest there? 🤔
      Bah, dunno 🙃

I don’t know about that vote my dude. It was a little suspect and there was much cheating going on. Maybe it’s all conspiracy theories to say Mattel had Snake Lair the winner the whole time but they were pushing the Snake Men hard. I can believe it. Pick two and they didn’t show the results and they didn’t care people could cheat. I think you are right a certain percentage of fans will stop collecting after they have re-issued the true vintages. I have seen one of two people here say that. If we know that Mattel must know that so they are stretching it out.
