And UK collectors be sure to check out Smyths Toys for all their latest pre-order listings. (Thanks again to Craig!)
We’ll see you next time!
Did Mantenna only have boots on his front legs in the cartoon? I hadn’t noticed that before.
So the fact that some of these have modest action features, provided Mattel with the excuse to drop the artifact, while most of them have no weapons, either. Budget planning is tightening the screws…
It’s still amazing to see PoP characters in this line, it will be hard to resist the Horde! Mantenna looks so funny, and Hordak is perfect. I am expecting that they’ll tweak She-Ra a bit, in any case she is a must-buy for me, too!
@cosmic Mantenna must be the most expensive to make because he has four legs and an action feature. If dropping the artifact keeps Mantenna at a normal price then I’m okay with that. She-Ra’s shield takes the space of an artifact. I’m okay with that too. The one that makes the least sense is Man-E-Faces. Building his face changing action feature must be costly.
Yes! Man-E-Faces looks better to me now in this new picture. Ram Man still looks a little strange to me but even he looks improved. I am so pumped! This is how I would rank them so far.
She-Ra
Man-E-Faces
Mantenna
Hordak
Ram Man
My ranking is:
1. She-ra
2. Hordak
3. Man E Faces
4. Ram Man
5. Mantenna
Urgency to purchase:
1. She-ra
2. Ram Man
3.Hordak
4. Man E Faces
5. Mantenna
But ALL the figures look awesome! Mattel keeps knocking it out of the park! (Including The Snake Lair!)
She-Ra looks incredible!
They all look fantastic but especially She-ra! I hope we get as many variants of her as we have of He-Man! Or even as many that we have of Hordak. Please let Adora follow soon!
My collection is Filmation, so I’ve pulled from all the lines to bring it together and I’m so excited to swap out my Super7 5.5 She-ra! It was finally getting that character in the vintage style (along with mustached Man at Arms) that kicked off my adult toy collecting. She’s a great figure but has nothing on this Cartoon Collection version! So hyped to be getting POP in Origins scale. I guess the new tooling for Mantenna and Man E Faces is preventing a cartoon accurate accessory. It’s weird to drop that gimmick now. It’s actually going to prevent me now from getting some of these figures but oh well. They all still look awesome!
