    1. He looks shiny in these pics which I really like. The armour parts I thought were black actually look iridescent which is awesome. The more I see of this Mer-Man the more I like him.

Usually I’m not very interested in those behind the scenes figure videos that Mattel puts out but I would be interested in this one.

    1. @admin I think it may have to do with the lenses being solid hemispheres. I have a hemisphere crystal paperweight that makes images “follow you" depending on the angle in which the object underneath it is viewed. It’s a trick of light refraction. If that’s what’s going on and the designer knew that it’s genius.
You can see an example of the effect in this listing  https://www.amazon.com/GUOSHUCHE-Magnifying-Paperweight-Hemisphere-Magnifier/dp/B09CGJBXKS

EDIT: For some reason the link isn’t showing up for me and I used the “insert/edit link" button. But you can google “hemisphere  magnifying paperweight"

Thanks for this. It could be! The way the pupils are not uniformed seems overachieving for that, but glued on opposing angles… maybe! Plus I have to remember these are 3D renders, not actual figures, but you are so right, it is genius to implement such a thing for Mer-Man!
