In the first pre-credit stinger found at the conclusion of the 2024 animated series “Masters of the Universe: Revolution”, Zodac announced their newest member of Cosmic Enforcers: Lyn of Zalesia!
Zodac welcomed Lyn, celebrating how she brought balance to herself and the universe.
During this magnificent honor, on the left of Zodac sat another Cosmic Enforcer with a large circle hanging on his chest.
If it had clock hands, one might think this Cosmic Enforcer was a big fan of the musical prodigy, Flavor Flav.
But that wasn’t a clock we saw. Upon closer inspection, one could detect the circle was reflective, almost like a spotlight.
So who was this mysterious character? Read on!
In a comic story told in the 1988 Fall issue of the “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Magazine”, Skeletor had detected a meteor in the ground and had his Evil Warriors fetch it.
The meteor was a piece of the “Dark Star” which broke off when it passed by the planet of Eternia. When exposed to daylight, the Dark Star Meteor would shower the area with an ominous dark shadow of evil that could defeat the heroic warriors, once and for all.
An evil effect labeled by Skeletor as the “Shadow of Darkness”, whenever He-Man was within this evil shadow of darkness, it drained all of the hero’s strength.
Luckily, the Cosmic Enforcer known as Strobo was there to save the day!
Strobo was based on a planned (but never produced) 1988 vintage figure to feature a combination of repainted parts from Zodac’s head to Sy-Klone’s chest.
When Skeletor had taken over Castle Grayskull and all hope was lost…
…this Zodac / Sy-Klone hybrid used his amazing action feature to save the day.
Strobo had the the ability to reflect light and simultaneously spin, illuminating the area he was in. So when He-Man used his Power Sword to project a blinding light towards the Cosmic Enforcer, Strobo spun that light into every corner of Castle Grayskull.
That blinding light ultimately destroys the Dark Star meteor.
And that’s it!
While Strobo was made into a Classics figure in 2013…
… Strobo only appeared once more in comic form in the 2019 limited series “He-Man and the Masters of the Multiverse”…
…before finally making his animation debut in “Masters of the Universe: Revolution” of course!
And fans who knew him were elated to see the reflective Cosmic Enforcer once more.

Thank you so much for making this and the other one AJ. I had no idea who either of these characters were so both helped me a lot. I like that you use plenty of pictures too. It makes it really easy for this slow gal to read. 😆
Awesome design and history!
@mrhootiedean It is really fun to see these deep dive characters appear! 🙂
Nice. One minor error – Strobo previously cameod in Masters of the Multiverse #3, again as part of the Cosmic Enforcers alongside Zodac, Zodak, Zanthor, the Mighty Spector and original character Apokrifa.

And here I love that comic series and didn’t remember. 😄 Thanks, you’re the best. I’ll be sure to revise the article!
Spector is a Cosmic Warrior? Really? And why is he the only one who doesn’t have to wear the uniform? Scott’s vanity project should be erased.
He’s the only one to get an (almost) on panel death, as though Seeley agreed with you.
