As the MOTU fandom has been slowly coming down from an incredible high thanks to the absolutely glorious visuals by Powerhouse Animation Studios on display in the animated series “Masters of the Universe: Revolution” (streaming right now on Netflix), we have learned that this Heroic and Evil Warrior feast for the eyes may not be over.
That is because we received word that a new hardcover book seems to be in the works over at Dark Horse Publishing that will explore the art of “Masters of the Universe: Revolution”!
If you recall back in 2022, fans were treated to a 183 page tome titled “The Art of Masters of the Universe: Revelation”, a deep dive into the making of Revelation which explored everything from character models & background art to storyboards.
Well now a new buzz has circulated our way that the same type of hardcover art book is also in the works for its sequel “Masters of the Universe: Revolution”. And if this information is accurate, we can’t wait!
Hopefully we will hear an official announcement soon! We’ll see you next time.
Yay! This make me so happy! Hunky He-Man and sexy Teela art here we come yall! 😍
The arts! <3
It is interesting, probably worth the purchase, but the price will be fairly high. I have an hard covered maxi book by Darkhorse, containing a collection of all the ’80s booklets that came out in the boxes of the action figures. It’s really beautiful, but it cost me 60-70€.
PS: It recently came out a Stranger Things – MOTU combo of two action figures: an Origins Skeletor with slightly different colouring and a MOTU styled Demogorgon. I found that very cool and preordered it almost immediately. It’s weird that is not mentioned here in this everything MOTU comprehensive site!
@alteredquantum I remember it here somewhere when it was first announced.
Half the episodes, half the pages?
I absolutely LOVE these art books and I can’t wait for a Revolution edition. The more the better.
I would love She-Ra And The Princesses Of Power to have an art book too.
@michaelholloway That She-Ra ship has more than likely sailed mate.
