Mattel released another short featurette recently where Executive Producer and Showrunner Kevin Smith in promoting the animated series “Masters of the Universe: Revolution” (currently streaming on Netflix) spoke some more with actor William Shatner about playing the role of Keldor.
In discussing William Shatner playing a villian this time versus his usual role of the hero, what William Shatner goes on to explain (we believe) is it is a misconception for anyone to think villians consider themselves as villians. Check it out:
A big thanks goes out to Raúl for the ‘heads up’. And go watch “Masters of the Universe: Revolution” again on Netflix. We’ll see you next time!
Shatner deserves an Academy Award.
HE is right.
playing a villian as a villian is boring uninteresting and 2 d.
how to play a good villian is.. the ivlian thinks hes the hero . with as much depth and resolve as a hero.like hordak for example. is a hero to the horde. She Ra is the villian to the horde.
she betrayed The hero hordak.
leading a rebelion against them
actively killing their friends.
in league with other known villians of the horde on eternia.
@kewnst That is how the writers said they wrote Thanos. He was the hero of Avengers Infiniti War.
I remember when they used to say William Shatner couldn’t act. The Captain clearly knows what he’s doing.
