Mondo Panthor Timed Edition 1:6 Scale Figure Pre-Order begins Tomorrow, November 14th

This November just became very ferocious and a lot more purple! That is because Mondo just announced that their Sixth Scale Panthor figure will be opening for pre-orders tomorrow, Tuesday November 14th!

Here are all the details!

“At last … Skeletor’s ride or die Panthor is ready to square off with He-Man and Battle Cat for Eternia supremacy!

“To concoct our ultimate 1/6 scale Panthor, you know we had to bring back the Battle Cat crew, including concept designer and MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE scholar Emiliano Santalucia, Eternia’s finest sculptors Tommy Hodges and Matthew Black and painter Mark Bristow, official MOTU packaging artist Florian Bertmer, and of course, photographer and keeper of Snake Mountain Raúl Barrero.  

“Just like Battle Cat, our Panthor Timed Edition Figure is 18” in length and features over 60 points of articulation, four swappable heads, a bendable tail, and fully removable body and leg armor. (The armor is removed at the belt by pinching the belt at the connection points. The leg armor is removed by popping off the front paws and sliding the armor down.) 

Panthor Timed Edition includes: 

  • Helmetless Swappable Head 
  • Horned Helmet Swappable Head 
  • Battle Fanged Helmet Swappable Head 
  • Classic Panthor Swappable Head 
  • Fully Removable Body and Leg Armor 

“And now for some important news and updates: 
 
A. We will be shipping Panthor in two waves. 

  • Wave 1 of Panthors will ship in November, on a first come basis, which means some of you could receive your savage cat before the holidays! If you are within Wave 1, you will receive a shipping notification 1-2 days after placing your order. 
  • Wave 2 of Panthors will ship in line with our previous releases. You can expect those to ship in April 2024.

B. For those who missed out on Skeletor Deluxe this past summer, we will be putting up a new Skeletor Regular Edition along with Panthor. Skeletor Regular Edition is not timed and will remain in stock as long as supplies last.

Mondo’s Panthor Timed Edition will be available from Tuesday (11/14) at 12 NOON CT until Friday (11/24).

          1. @skeledog LOL, sorry, Dog. I opened the box and styro-clam shell to make sure everything was in order. Then closed it all back up. Decided I wanted to wait until I had Skeletor in hand. Mondo needs to ship our Skelies! Supposed to ship in November and we’re runnin out of that LOL
            One of the ram horns is larger than my palm. I’m 6′ 2″. So it’s pretty freakin large.
             
            Forum question: Is there a fast way to access posts I’ve made. I get the reply and mention updates in my user control panel but I can’t click on the notification to access the thread. I have to go find the article each time then tap “discuss”.

    1. @banthafett It shipped from China? That is interesting. Sorry! Unfortunately it may get stuck in customs for weeks and require your involvement to push it through.

      I wonder what is the reasoning behind it. Is this a beginning of a trend? Or were these perhaps delayed in manufacturing and this could be just a tactic to get these shipped & billed to customers within their 2023 fiscal year? 🤔

        With the crappy shippers they use, they get beat to hell  and punctured just being shipped from Texas. I can only imagine what it will look like coming from china.

          Usually it comes from China through DHL and they would probably reach out to you via the phone number you supplied Mondo and ask for your Driver’s License, etc.. It is usually not much more elaborate than that (if it gets stuck in customs.)

          Hopefully it won’t arrive in a bad condition, but I totally understand the worry. I had a rough time with my Mondo She-Ra and that was just US to US shipping. 😕

    1. deluxe skeletor starts shipping next week
    2. A reply about Adam being shipped from china and concerned about damage and if future items ship this way. Said everyones Adam is being shipped from china, they’ll replace or refund damage. Nothing about future shipments. Guess we’ll see when skeletor ships.

      At least we know whatever you go through in regards to inconvenience… if it is a delay in customs or Zoar forbid, damage… Mondo does have great customer service and will absolutely take care of you. Hope it goes without a hitch for you! 🤞

        Hope not, but could be multiple reasons why
        1. too expensive, right before the holidays
        2. people may just want the flocked (and not be an idiot like me and buy both) And i still think nonflocked panthor and mossman look weird.
        3. QC problems with battle cat, and Panthor being so close to the shipment of Bc, those problems will still not have been fixed as I will talk about.
         
        When i got Panthor a few weeks, ago, i really didnt look him over because i was waiting for adam to come so he could be on panthor. But messing with him yesterday, hes just as floppy and loose as BC, heads fall off when you try to have him look up or to the side with helmets on. And i dont like the back body, and legs.too small and legs are to close together. I know some will say it suppose to be that way, but its hard to pose with the combo of too close legs and loose body, they cats just crumple up and fall over.

          I forgot about the flocked version. that could be a big part of it. I saw some of the panthor heads people are getting have some nasty mold lines more than youd see in a 20 buck figure. Its wack
           

  8. Got Adam yesterday. Its an alright figure. I took the shoulder holster off, that was plain ugly. I like what they did with the heman redo face sculpts, but the Adam ones are in the direction of the the 1st heman. Not as bad, but still in the Robert Z’Dar category.
     
    Adam and Faker were my favorite figures back in the day. Neither Mondo version bring the nostalgia feelings of those.  I think a basic fuzzy vest should have been done, instead of what we got ( its too busy)
    Im hoping they release a battle armor Faker with see through armor (like anti heman) with the new sculpts.
     
    If im lucky enough to get a fuzzy Panthor, thats what Adam will be on. (Like when i was a kid) I have him on the Panthor that just came out, and it just doesn’t look right.
     
    If anyone hears of something making a vintage vest/belt for Mondo Adam, let me know.

          I can understand that. Statues seem to have a better track record when it comes to QC so maybe they’re the better choice at that price.
