ACTOR STRIKE IS OVER: ”Masters of the Universe: Revolution” Voice Talent can finally promote the series again

The work stoppage is over. As of midnight last night, the 118 day actor strike has ended after SAG-AFTRA (a union that represents actors, dancers and more) reached a tentative agreement on a new three-year contract with the studios. (The deal still must go through the union’s board for approval, but this is just considered a formality at this point.)

What this means for fans anticipating the upcoming Netflix series “Masters of the Universe: Revolution” debuting this January, is now the show’s voice talent will finally be able to promote the series again.

If you recall back in July at the San Diego International ComiCon (and first reported HERE), fans anticipating a Kevin Smith Revolution roundtable discussion event with actors Chris Wood (He-Man), Melissa Benoist (Teela), Griffin Newman (Orko), Tiffany Smith (Andra) and surprise guest Keith David (Hordak) were disappointed to hear that the voice talent had to suddenly back out due to the strike (and were quickly replaced by Executive Producers Ted Biaselli and Rob David.)

But now that the strike is over, all the actors can finally promote this upcoming series.

Does this mean we’ll get another talent filled Revolution aftershow like we did with “Masters of the Universe: Revelation?” And will we finally see William Shatner and Mark Hamill together to promote the show? Let’s hope!

“Masters of the Universe: Revolution” will be premiere on Netflix this January 25th. We’ll see you next time!

  1. Hi people, I just would like to share why I love Revelation so much.
I can’t wait for REVOLUTION and I’m sure it will be as great as the previous chapter. In my opinion Revelation is the best tv show ever produced for the Masters of the universe. it was not only about how Teela became the new sorceress, but how she was disappointed after she became aware of Adam’s secret. Revelation is also about how Prince Adam became aware of himself as brave even without his alter ego He-Man, but with his strength of will and for this reason I liked his decision to choose himself as Adam while he was in Preternia. To me this means his strongest part is being himself the flea Adam, little but big and strong inside. He’s the most selfless, he sacrificed his life twice as He-man and as Adam. We also saw him be Savage and full of anger and rage without the control of his sword, killing and destroying everything till he until he faced his father’s remorse and love that turned his rage into quiet. Revelation is about the relationship between Teela and Duncan and her mother, between Adam Randor and Marlena, it’s about Evil-Lyn from her childhood to the witch and sorceress. it’s about how she got the GREAT power of Greyskull by manipulating Skelegod through her sexuality, and how disappointed she was realising all is about Chaos. its about the devotion of Beastman, that in this show isn’t a kind of retarded but a strong, brave and intelligent warrior. Reveation is about the Orlax, about Subternia and his master the lonely demon Scareglow. It talks about how Orko became a reborn oracle, how Cringer became courageous, talks about the cult of Motherboard, the division in two factions, one with skeletor dedicated to magic and the other one with Triklops and trap-jaws proselytes of the techno cult. I really don’t understand how many people didn’t appreciate Revelation. I’m glad it’s not in continuity with Filmation, but luckily it’s something NEW and much more aimed at adults rather than children. I love it and find it a beautiful show with many underlying meanings.

    1. Thanks again Aj and I like so much your passion because it gave us FORETENIA and I’m glad to be part of it. Surely I love FILMATION, both He-man and She-Ra and 200X and DC comics saga over all. Let’s wait for REVOLUTION now. 👍🏼
