”Masters of the Universe: Revelation” Home Video available to purchase Digitally on April 25th. Will a Physical release follow?

NCircle Entertainment has finally announced that the home video release of the epic Netflix animated series “Masters of the Universe: Revelation” will be available for purchase digitally this April 25th.

Here is the company’s official announcement, per their Facebook page:

BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL!!! All 10 episodes of Kevin Smith’s critically acclaimed MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: REVELATION will be available to purchase on #Digital April 25th! Stay tuned for more details!

Now back in 2021, NCircle Entertainment announced that that they not only entered a multi-year agreement with Mattel for digital distribution of Masters of the Universe content, but distribution physically on DVD as well.

Here is an excerpt of that 2021 press release (the full press release can be found HERE).

“NCircle Entertainment and Mill Creek Entertainment today announced that they have entered into a multi-year physical and digital distribution agreement with Mattel, Inc. Under the agreement, NCircle Entertainment and Mill Creek Entertainment will distribute series based on Mattel’s iconic brands such as Barbie, Thomas & Friends and Masters of the Universe on physical DVD at retail stores across the U.S. and Canada, as well as on digital EST and TVOD.

The deal includes Barbie Dreamtopia Special, Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures (Seasons 1 & 2), Barbie Princess Adventure, Barbie & Chelsea: The Lost Birthday, and Barbie: Big City, Big Dreams. Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go (Season 25 & 26, and corresponding specials), produced in vibrant, 2D animation, Masters of the Universe: Revelation, and the highly anticipated CG series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

So does that mean a DVD (and hopefully a Blu-ray) release announcement will soon follow, for all the Masters of the Universe fans that prefer physical releases to place on their shelves? Let’s hope!

We’ll see you next time!

    1. @catra Yes! SO happy that Revelations and CG-Man will be getting a digital release! I sure hope it will be possible to purchase from my country lol
and hopefully we get these shows in physical form too some where down the road, like when SPOP got the DVD treatment (I mean….it was only the first 26 episodes/the first 3 seasons but still, happy to have that little set on my self 🙂 ❤️

      1. @he-dad That would be wonderful, HD! ❤️
Deleted scenes, cast and creator interviews, audio commentaries…..                                                                 (seriously, nobody does DVD commentary anymore. which is pretty strange, when you consider how popular podcasts and Let’s Plays are. lol)
Heck, they could maybe include stuff like that even with the digital release….a girl can hope. *sigh*

I don’t think actors and directors did those commentaries for free. They used to get paid for it but now studios won’t pay for commentaries. For some reason it’s no longer a selling point.

      1. @talonfighter a steelbook would be very nice indeed, TF! ^_^
I don’t think we’ve ever seen that in a MOTU home video release before. (Unless I am wrong and their is perhaps a steelbook of the 1987 movie that I don’t know about and need to buy lol)

Yes I think it would be a first. Revelation is not a show that is regular. We fans have very collectible minds and would pay extra for it.👐

  1. I don’t even have a device at home that can play physical media anymore. I was all about the Xbox Series X, but got the Series S because of availability.
I wouldn’t mind collecting a few shows/movies in physical media…. Might just have to bite the bullet on a 4K disc player
