Has filming finally begun for the new “Masters of the Universe” Movie? It’s possible!
Since the Summer of 2024 we have been reporting that filming for the “Masters of the Universe” Movie was slated to begin this January 2025. The only thing that we were uncertain to report on was the precise starting date for filming.
Yes, publications like Production Weekly, Production List and IMDB / IMDB Pro had all been indicating since this past September that filming would begin on or around January 6th. But even if accurate, as time goes by, many things can affect the validity of that date.
For instance, dates can change based on various delays in pre-production from casting, set creation to even weather (if one is starting principal photography with an outdoor shoot.)
Also, it is important to remember that the updates made to these movie listings in these publications often do not come from official sources (the studios, headline stars or main crew.) Often these updates come from other regular registered users that are supposed to be basing it on informed data but once in a while lead to questionable or hopeful postings.
It is really helpful when studios, crew or actors take to social media to announce when a movie’s production has finally begun , but that doesn’t always happen. But sometimes when they do, they announce it with an image of a director’s chair, a prop or simply a film clapperboard.
Unfortunately, since none of that has yet occurred, we can only speculate if they started.
Could cameras have already started rolling on the long awaited “Masters of the Universe” Movie? Absolutely…. but for now, we wait for some sort of official confirmation.
We’ll see you next time.
I will exhale a big sigh in relief once someone confirms it.
I wish the movie had some more star power in front of and behind the camera. A name(s) to get fans and general audiences excited. So far the movie sounds kinda B movie-ish. When Idris Elba and Jared Leto are the top line names on your call sheet then you have a problem. I hope the script is good!
I think if the script is great as Guardians of the Galaxy it won’t need big stars. That movie made Chris Pratt a superstar and this will do the same for Nick if it’s great.
I’m not a Guardians fan but I get what you’re saying. Here’s hoping!
