Written by Several weeks ago we reported that Skeletor might be coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, a popular first-person shooter video game published by Activision. (That original article can be found HERE.)
Well now we can officially confirm that the Lord of Destruction will indeed be entering the battlefield! Today Activision officially announced Season 6: The Haunting, that will feature our favorite skull-faced villian.
Here are the details:
Skeletor (Overlord of Evil)
Become the true Overlord of Evil with the Skeletor Bundle, complete with a Skeletor Operator, as well as evil sorcery–themed Blueprints and Emblems.
Skeletor (and more) will be available to players starting next week on September 27 when Season 6 of Modern Warfare II goes live on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone as well as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 this November 10th. Prepare to cackle AND shoot enemies!

this is amazing news and will tide us all over for motu video game content until the funko game comes out next year 😌
as all of us know, skeletor has a MASSIVE meme following online (going on several years by now) so his appearance in one of the world’s most popular video games will bring HUGE amounts of press to the motu franchise (and just in time for revolution too!)
given skeletor’s notoriety in meme-dom, i can see many a twitch streamer/youtube let’s player getting in on the fun, i expect we’ll all be seeing all across our social media feeds over the coming weeks, even in places we never thought we’d see him before.
(and on a personal note, i had a bet with a co-worker who reckoned we wouldn’t be getting skeletor in cod. he now owes me a caramel latte. 😂)
That caramel latte is gonna cost as much as the battle pass. 😂

in truth, i was ever much into call of duty/modern warfare myself. i can’t really say that i have ever played any of the other entries.
my exposure to the games comes courtesy of my brother, who was an avid gamer in high school and played quite a bit of black ops (remember when the whole world was like….SUPER into zombies back in, like, 2011-13? lol)
so yeah….this will be the first time i’ll play the game for myself.
I definitely would if I had the money lol (I want to play it)

if you don’t already have a copy, it could set you back around 70 bucks and then you also have to get the season pass to play as skeletor.
you could always wait for a sale if you are okay with waiting a few weeks after the game comes out. ♡♡
