If the debut of the first Issue of the Dark Horse Comics "Turtles of Grayskull" feels like a long time ago (in comic terms), that is because... it was. Premiering back in September of 2024, this (give-or-take) monthly four issue limited series was originally scheduled to conclude in January. But fans who have been keeping up with the Masters of the Universe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover have noticed quite a delay in the release of later issues... with the final comic currently pushed back to April. January's "Turtles of Grayskull" Issue #4 has been delayed until April 9th…

That's unfortunate. I didn't know that comics were distributed like that but a guess it makes sense. I would think some other distributor could pick up the slack but I would assume they're all having financial difficulties. Print is dying a very slow death.

Now the delays make sense. There goes our chances getting a Reptile Wars mini series.

@brain77 maybe they should just write TPBs instead of individual issues.

Comics are going the way of books. All digital and all will be drawn by AI once it no longer uses other art to learn from.

@he-mayon I don't think AI will completely take over the art, not after the actors and writers took a stand.

That would be nice but artists are not unionized like that and at some point the AI art will be too quick too good and too cheap to pass up. Maybe it takes 10 years maybe it takes 20 years but I think it's inevitable.
