In 1987, actor Dolph Lundgren landed the lead role as He-Man in the ”Masters of the Universe” Movie from Cannon Films.
While a sequel was immediately being planned, no one could guess it would take 37 years until another “Masters of the Universe” movie would be filming (currently in production with Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films.)

Of course, the 67 year old Dolph Lundgren is too old to reprise his role as He-Man now, but fans have often wondered would the beloved actor make a cameo appearance in the new MOTU movie. Well that might be happening Masters of the Universe fans!
Dolph Lundgren took to social media this past week to reveal he was working on a “secret project” in London, the same place where “Masters of the Universe” is being filmed! And the actor was being fitted for a wig!
Check it out:

Considering Dolph is being fitted by a wig, could the first He-Man have a cameo in the new live-action “Masters of the Universe” movie as “King Grayskull”… essentially playing the first He-Man? Wouldn’t that be amazing.

Whatever his role, it will be exciting to see Dolph Lundgren appear in the new MOTU Movie… if… this is what the “secret project” is meant to be.
We’ll see you next time!
Same place same time and in a wig? It has to be that. SO MUCH WIN!
Maybe King Grayskull is not a good fit for him, since the lore is that Grayskull himself died at a relatively young age, I calculate probably just 15-20 years older than Adam. However, another possibility is King Miro.
Either one!
Oh hell yeah. Good on them for doing Dolph right.
It would be very cool. Even if I’m not a fan of the ’80s MOTU movie.
Even though it’s taken me decades to appreciate the 87 movie, I’ve always loved He-Man’s design in that film! And Dolfph looked incredible. It’s only right he’d be involved somehow.
If this is what I think it is. ….. KNEW IT!
While they’re at it, why not cast Courtney Cox as Shadow Weaver…or Adam’s grandmother.
