FILMING HAS BEGUN! See Prince Adam get Arrested by the Police!

Finally!

Are we dreaming? After decades of development hell, production for a new “Masters of the Universe” Movie from Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films is finally on the way!

Now while filming could have already begun weeks ago with the principal actors, we finally have VISUAL CONFIRMATION that cameras are rolling!

Yes, courtesy of deuxmoi on Instagram and a ‘heads up‘ from awesome community member @zarius and Nicholas Galitzine Nation, we now have pictures of actor Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam on Earth, in an iconic pink colored shirt, being arrested by the police! And he has the power sword! Wow! Check it out!

We are so excited to be able to say… filming for “Masters of the Universe” is underway (YES!) with the movie scheduled to be released in cinemas worldwide on June 5th, 2026.

Time to celebrate Masters of the Universe fans!

We’ll see you next time!

    1. @zarius I was just about to post this, when I saw it on comic book movie. I don’t know what to think. Seeing it really makes me wish that it wasn’t taking place on Earth now. There just isn’t a need for it. If they wanted to flashback with the Queen to earth fine I’d get it, but man I don’t know. He looks the part, but I’m even more firm on the non Earth angle. The sword looks great.

  1. Um are they taking him to Mattel HQ? Bc this scene has Barbie movie vibes for sure! They got the shade of pink right too 😉

Thanks so much for sharing this stuff; I hope no one cries spoiler because I can’t wait for more little leaks like this. I’m sure it’ll look even better after editing.

No one has cried spoiler yet thankfully! 🙂

  2. 1. I think these photos leaked on purpose. Showing the costuming is intended to be spot on.
    2. That power sword is ripped right from the show.
    3. Maybe the “sent to earth" thing is act one and was intended to protect Adam from skeletor as a kid?
    I’m all in though.

  3. Wow…just, WOW! It’s happening. IT’S ACTUALLY HAPPENING! Nicholas looks awesome and just like how I’d picture Prince Adam (minus the earth stylings) in live action! I’m debating following bts for the movie out of fear of being spoiled but can you actually spoil MOTU? I’m hoping they’re shooting the earth scenes first (and fast) so we can get some Eternia costumed cast pics.

Now if I can just stay alive long enough to see it…and Wicked: For Good! And kinda Superman. Yippeeeeee!

  4. I am beyond thrilled that a new He-Man movie is finally in the works! It’s been a long wait, but it’s really happening, and they’re actually filming it. From what I’ve gathered, the story starts on Earth before He-Man makes his way back to Eternia. It seems like they’re aiming to attract new fans to the franchise, which could help pave the way for more movies down the line. I’m confident in the writer, especially after how great Bumblebee turned out. He did an amazing job with that, so I’m hoping he brings the same magic to He-Man. But seriously, if there’s no Orko or Battle Cat in this film, I’ll be disappointed!

  5. TBH I would watch this whether it’s terrible or not. I liked the 80’s movie but always wished it was more like the Filmation version.
Now: the power sword looking like it has dropped directly from the Filmation cartoon into the scene – that’s awesome!
Also: Prince Adam is dressed as Prince Adam. I love that.
I agree with an above poster who said perhaps this is act one and the rest is set in Eternia. The descriptions I’ve read of the movie seems to hint this could be the case too.
Either way, I’m in. And now I’m more excited. It looks really good!!  🙂

    1. According to the synopsis, Adam arrives on Earth, and is separated from the Sword of Power. His goal is to reunite with the Sword of Power, so he can return to Eternia as He-Man.

I suspect in this scene Adam locates the Sword of Power in a museum and tries to “steal" it, resulting in his arrest.

Oklahoma City is indeed rich with museums…

    1. @durendal I agree. I just hope for a honest, funny and somehow clever reimagination of the ’80s MOTU with some hints to that series, as it seems already happening, at least in part. BUT, I surely do not want to be too much optimistic about that, keeping in mind the “make a movie adapted for modern audiences" mindset of so many producers that is very present nowadays.

    2. @alteredquantum It seems pretty clear to me from the pics that they’re going to lean into the campy side of MOTU, maybe with a Guardians of the Galaxy kind of feel to it. Depending on the director’s savviness, that could either be brilliant or a disaster.

He did made one of the best TF movies with Bumblebee so I do lean more towards brilliant and do have a very faint hope that the pictures and infos about him on earth are to set up a rare positive suversion of expectations in the form of it being actually a very short 5-15 min element of the movie.
I do set my personal expectations to desaster though.

  6. Throwing around the word brilliant this early, is odd. Hoping for a good movie is one thing, but its gonna be brilliant, because you seen a guy who looks like Corky Thatcher in a pink dress shirt and blue dockers “looks so much like the vintage toy” is crazy talk. Org mentality.
Knight has only directed 2 movies. Last one 7, 8 years ago. And yeah coming after all those TF Bay turds, anything good  could be better. And Kubo has the Lakia charm going for it. So he really has no track record.

Yes i want a good movie, but it has a lot of stuff going against it. So im in a wait and see. Can it be good? Yes. Can it be bad, yes , and has more of a chance to be. It will never live up to anyones dream. The casting of actors has already started the slide down the hill.
