We’ve noticed some increased activity on social media recently in regards to “Masters of the Universe: Revelation” which has spurred some fans to speculate that perhaps a follow-up series announcement may be just around the corner.
It started when the official Masters of the Universe Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages asked the question “Tell us who you’d watch Netflix with.”
What some fans found interesting is when they posed the question, the official MOTU account promoted images not from the younger children’s series “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” (which just debuted a second season), but surprisingly used pics of characters from last year’s “Masters of the Universe: Revelation”.
One would assume their marketing department would want to promote the current Netflix series instead, and pose the question with images from the CG young children’s show. Yet, the official account chose character pics from Revelation.
What was also interesting is how some of the actors and writers from “Masters of the Universe: Revelation” were engaged with the post, like Susan Eisenberg who voiced the Sorceress:
And Tiffany Smith who performed the voice of Andra:
As well as show writer Tim Sheridan, who showed his support for Orko:
And even the official account of Mattel put their ‘two cents’ in!
So does this mean anything? We don’t know for certain. But in light of everything we learned thus far with the Powerhouse Animation Studios hirings and actor Tony Todd’s reveal, this may truly be a sign that a Season Two announcement is imminent. We can only hope!
Until next time!
