There may be a new Masterverse subline on the way!
Mattel has had a large presence at this year’s Toy Fair and among all the new action figures they had on display, Mattel showed off a new exciting Masterverse She-Ra figure.

Displayed with a brand new Masterverse Masters of the Universe “New Eternia” Terror Claws Skeletor figure, the assumption was this She-Ra action figure was also from the “New Eternia” subline.

But now Mattel has released an official solicitation for their upcoming new She-Ra figure, and it appears this Princess of Power will actually be a “NEW ETHERIA” release. Check out the official details:

Masters of the Universe® Masterverse She-Ra® Action Figure
SRP: $21.99 | 6Y+| Fall 2025
For the honor of Grayskull, I am She-Ra!” This MOTU Masterverse figure celebrates the 40thanniversary of the TV series, She-Ra and the Princess of Power.Designed at 7-inch scale with 30 points of articulation, this New Etheria edition of the most powerful woman in the universe is based on the vintage toy look and comes with an extra swappable set of hands, a removable soft goods cape with shoulder armor, a shield and a sword. The mythical warrior princess comes with the high level of detail collectors expect and is beautifully packaged in a window box suitable for display.
So is this “New Etheria” edition a brand new Masterverse Princess of Power subline that will be what “New Eternia” is to Masters of the Universe?

It is possible, but we don’t know for certain and it doesn’t help that the new Masterverse Hordak figure has no mention of being a “New Etheria’ edition.

Masters of the Universe® Masterverse Hordak® Action Figure
SRP: $21.99 | 6Y+| Fall 2025
This MOTU Masterverse Hordak action figure is inspired by the original She-Ra: The Princess of PowerTV series from the ’80s and celebrates the 40thanniversary of the show! Designed at 7-inch scale with 30 points of articulation, he comes with removable articulated wings, a shield and staff and a cannon arm that swaps with the hand and wrist bracer. His armor includes a chest harness and arm band.
Ultimately we will have to wait and see before we can confirm “New Etheria” as a new Masterverse subline.
Thanks to the awesome @smitty-81 for the ‘heads up’!
We’ll see you next time!
That’s great! Hope they do it justice and don’t drop the ball after only one or two figures. New Adventures anyone?
Mattel didn’t drop the ball with PoP as hard as they did with the kids show or New Adventures lines but 7 figs is still entirely too little. I say 12 should be a minimum for New Etheria or don’t do it at all.
@mighty-thanos Exactly! Mattel need to go hard or go home.
This subline was long overdue… It was heavily whispered during the (SDCC) Motu panel last year, and what better year to launch such an event, right?
I… I mean, didn’t they start a PoP Masterverse line some time ago that’s only half finished? I am pretty sure since I have these on my shelf ffs 😛
Why in the world would we need “New Etheria" on top of that. Good lord, Mattel. Also, that She-Ra looks….not great.
@lasastard To me, this is an opportunity to highlight a few details here and there, making the whole female group more aggressive.
True, and I guess it also makes sense in light of New Eternia being a fan favorite. But I am pretty sure this means that the PoP sub line is effectively dead in the water. And that’s annoying. Not because I think that it is superior to whatever New Etheria is able to bring to the table, but because I invested into it and it won’t be completed. And I am saying that as someone who is distinctly not a completionist. It just feels like Mattel is run by a bunch of ADHD kids ^^
@lasastard Oh, believe me, I totally get that feeling. But at the same time, and if I’m being honest for a second, for the collector that I am, having a few Motuc figures refreshed and able to suddenly answer all my posing expectations is a substantial start.
Here I am still hoping for 2018 style ones… :3
So apparently She-Ra is being held hostage by Wallmart’s evil business tactics; as a European collector, this is not an ideal situation, but some stores around here have managed to get their Skeletors and Zodacs before, so why not her?
Absolutely ridiculous.
It really does look like Mattel has given up on the Princess of Power subline after 7 figures. Wow.
What’s next? ‘New Primus’ (Actually, if it means we get more New Adventures, I probably wouldn’t mind that … )?
Anyone that was hoping for Masterverse to replace Masters of the Universe Classics should probably just give up on that dream right now. Skelcon is as deep as we’re gonna get, folks.
I’m happy to be proven wrong, Mattel.
