There is a lot of things happening in the lead up to the first issue of Dark Horse Comic’s new Masters of the Universe & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles mashup comic series titled “Turtles of Grayskull”. Let’s check them out.
New Retailer Exclusive Variant Cover:
Back in May only three covers were officially announced for the premiere issue of “Turtles of Grayskull” comic. Then, several days ago, we announced two more retailer exclusive #1 covers from Eclectables Comics. And now… we can add a sixth variant cover to the mix exclusively from JAF Comics by artist Chris Campana!
“Retailer Exclusives” are unique comic variants that are sometimes offered (by publishers) to comic book retailers that commit to purchasing a large amount of copies. And now that both Eclectables Comics and JAF Comics have achieved such an ordering benchmark for issue #1, it seems that sales for the “Turtles of Grayskull” comic will be a smashing success!

Often we do not see conceptual art for comics until the trade paperback has been released, but today we get to see some of the amazing “Turtles of Grayskull” character designs by artist Freddie Williams II before the first issue… courtesy of the Comic Frontier! Check it out:

But it all starts with issue #1 of “Turtles of Grayskull” from Dark Horse Comics by Tim Seeley and Freddie Williams II which will debut on comic shelves and digital retailers everywhere this Wednesday, September 25th, 2024!
