We recently reported that the first five pages from the premiere issue of the upcoming Dark Horse “Masters of the Universe: Revolution” prequel comic series was finally revealed to the public (that article can be found HERE).
Now on page four of that five page preview, some fans were curious about two new, never-before-seen characters, fighting along side the Evil Horde.
Well now, thanks to the Instagram post of writer Tim Sheridan, we have names for this villainous duo!
We present…
TARANGELA and SUCCUBUG!
This is what writer Tim Sheridan had to say about these Evil Horde members:
“Also meet two never-before-seen faces of evil — the Horde Cousins™️ SUCCUBUG & TARANGELA! They serve their leader Hordak, but it’s also entirely possible they wrestle for G.L.O.W. on the side. 😆
“Fun Fact: Tarangela is a character I created for the Revolution tv series, but we had to cut her scenes for time prior to the start of production. However, she and her cuz made it into the comic! 🤗”
Will there be more new characters introduced into the MOTU lore? Find out on May 15th 2024 when issue #1 of this four issue limited “Masters of the Universe: Revolution” prequel comic series hits comic book shelves and digital platforms everywhere!
We’ll see you next time!
Interesting, I never would have expected to see a BBW character in MOTU. I like her though, using a tick as her inspiration compliments Mosquitor and her cybernetics mesh well with the later Horde cast.
@searchor shes a thicc tick
Dang it, I should have thought of that pun.
I never expected it either. That is because that body type is antithetical to being a Master of the Universe or being on any battle field with a increased risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
It’s a toy line, anything goes.
We also don’t know what her powers are. You’re not part of the Horde to just stand around and be sexy. Unless you’re Grizzlor.
At least there’s potentially a fat belly buck now that could be reused for Chef Allen and Kothos in the Cartoon Collection!
@durendal Maybe Mondo could make a Chef Allen figure! 😆
Can’t wait to learn more about these 2, their dynamic within the Horde and their individual power sets!
I don’t know what to think.
I like them! You sometimes see a big, soft, male “tank" character (not necessarily in MOTU, but maybe in an rpg party). I like this addition. These two would make cool figures. I am so excited about all of the comic news!
