It’s the “UNO Fandom” Masters of the Universe edition, a new version of the popular card game that will feature artwork from the classic Golden Super Adventures of He-Man books! Check out the packaging:

Cards with the Golden Book art has my interest. I hope Mattel doesn’t go the lazy route and repeat the artwork across the suits.
The way the art is framed is atrocious. The small ovals and the useless thick white border does the artwork no justice.Â

True. It would have been better to use the whole landscape of the card and add the numbers on top but I still like it.

The announcement said the art was from the Super Adventure books, and some of it is, but several of the MOTU Magazine posters are in there, too – and particularly suffer from the odd framing. Earl Norem is my favorite MOTU artist, so I’ll definitely grab it.
Received mine yesterday. Other than the framing issue, they look great, as expected!
