During today’s exciting Mattel Creations: REVEALED Masters of the Universe Virtual Event, Mattel teased another two awesome figures coming our way: the Masters of the Universe: Origins Geldor and Demo-Man figures!
Details are scarce, but we do know Mattel reiterated (thanks to a short question & answer period) that they do intend to complete the Masters of the Universe: Origins vintage action figure line.
Other than that, no major details were revealed for Geldor or Demo-Man, nor were any other vintage Origins figures revealed.
Mattel does plan to release their upcoming 2024 ORIGINS FALL CATALOG this Tuesday, March 26th, so hopefully they will provide more details then.
We’ll see you next time!
Can someone please explain the extra heads that come with Demo-Man.
@smitty-81 It’s the exact same heads that Classics Demo-Man came with: Alcala Skeltor head, and horned helmet head from the original Mark Taylor concept art for Demo-Man.
@durendal hopefully the hood on the Skeletor head matches the wave 1 Skeletor’s shape of purple.
I have no memories about these characters and action figures.
This reveal is quite a let down for me, at the moment.
@alteredquantum Demo-Man goes back to the very beginnings of vintage MOTU as an early concept, and Geldor had a very memorable appearance in a vintage mini comic as the main villain in that story, so they both have a very long history in the brand and are not just random new characters.
I agree! I don’t know these characters nor have any nostalgia for them, so they’ll most likely be a pass. And the reveal was an utter waste of time. I should have just waited for ForEternia’s coverage.
@mrhootiedean Yea it was kind of boring right bro? Maybe if they do it again next year I’ll watch it again cuz I’m a sucker but after watching this one I regretted it.
Dose anyone else think Demo-Man looks like he uses a giant buck?
If you mean the Cartoon Collection sized buck? Yes. If you mean the Krang/Andre the Giant? Then no. But not sure in the slightest.
I tend to buy these 5.5 figures mainly for their heads. Been waiting for Demo Man to be rereleased in the 7″ line. Classic figures were good but I prefer the newer models now so things like this just end up as parts for me.
