As we build up to the exciting drop of the new “Masters of the Universe: Revolution” animated series debuting on Netflix this January 25th, fans have been enjoying a four issue limited comic series by Dark Horse titled “Masters of the Universe: Forge of Destiny” (written by Tim Seeley / art by EddieNunez) that acts as a prequel to both the “Revelation” & “Revolution” narratives.
With the fourth and final issue of “Forge of Destiny” debuting December 20th however, some fans may be wondering if there is anything else coming that ties into this new Netflix series installment? Apparently there is.
We have been hearing that at least one more comic is on the way that connects to the Revelation/Revolution universe. How many issues will there be, we don’t know, but we are hearing it will be released in Early 2024 and this time Tim Seeley will not be on writing duties.
Could this new tie-in comic to “Revolution” feature the return of a story by Kevin Smith & Rob David credit… with the script by Tim Sheridan and art by Mindy Lee, just like the 2021 “Masters of the Universe: Revelation” prequel comics were?
Stay tuned to find out. We’ll see you next time!
More comics is always good.
cool 😮
Yes!!! Please!!!
Agreed! And great to see you in here buddy! 🙂
So it could be a different writer? Maybe we will get a different writer that hasn’t done He-Man yet.
Won’t say who it is. But its from the pool of folks who have previously been associated with MOTU Comics. 😉
@jukka Do you know how many issues this run will be mate?
So far when MOTU Comics have been done through Dark Horse, the 4-issue miniseries looks to be the staple. So I think that is the most likely route… 🙂
@jukka Thanks. One day it would be nice to get a proper ongoing again.
Work with what ya know!
Looks like the cat is out of the bag now.
Revolution tie-in comic, written by Tim Sheridan with Biaselli and David. 😉
Maybe it’ll bridge between what’s happened after the end of Revelation, and where Revolution will pick up. I imagine it’s probably been several months to maybe a year since the end of Revelation (In-Universe Time) I’m still waiting if they’re going to do anything with comics or a graphic novel of what the Fourth Season of the CGI show would look like since they canceled it. They’ve got plenty of notes to work with.
