Written by About a year ago, there was a lot of buzz among the pinball community about a rumor suggesting Stern obtained (or at least was negotiating for) the license to make a “Masters of the Universe” themed pinball machine from Mattel.
The brilliant pinball artist Randy Martinez (who has done some magnificent artwork on some previous Stern Pinball machines) added fuel to that fire… by possibly letting the cat out of the bag last year at the 2022 California Extreme Gaming Convention, when he said the following:
“Hopefully by next year’s Comic Con I will have some Masters of the Universe artwork. I’m really excited about that because besides Star Wars and basketball, Masters of the Universe is my thing.”

Now fast forward to July 2023, where the website Knapp Arcade is now reporting that a person in the pinball community (known for predicting future pinball machines accurately) has posted the following message:
“By the power of Grayskull, Stern has the power !”
So does Stern indeed have the “Masters of the Universe” license and will be (or is currently) making a He-Man pinball machine that may be announced soon, possibly at an upcoming comic or gaming convention? We shall see, but it is certainly starting to feel that way!
