I HAVE THE TURTLE POWER? A new look into the MOTU & TMNT 2020 Crossover that almost was.

In 2020, fans of both Masters of the Universe and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were in store for a real treat! Thats because a joint production was being worked on behind-the-scenes between DC Comics and IDW Publishing where the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (and their evil nemesis Shredder) would be transported into the world of Eternia for an all new adventure with He-man, friends and foes.

Looking to be a thrilling adventure for fans of both properties alike, this story seemed to feature the Mutant turtle Leonardo actually wielding the two halves of the power sword and riding our favorite powered-up green tiger, Battle Cat!

Unfortunately, this crossover project between He-Man and the Ninja Turtles (first worked on in 2019) was delayed several times before it was ultimately cancelled.

However over this month, comic book artist Freddie E. Williams II revealed a window into this failed crossover, when he announced a 64 Page Behind-the-scenes Sketchbook titled “He-Man/TMNT : The Crossover that almost was” for fans to purchase! He sold original pieces of this art before, but never in a reprinted collection!

So if you’re interested in delving into what could have been, then check out the “He-Man/TMNT : The Crossover that almost was” sketchbook, which sells for $30.00 U.S. and can purchased HERE. (ForEternia.com is not affiliated with Freddie E. Williams II nor makes money off this link.)

We’ll see you next time!
