Written by It was an exciting time for Masters of the Universe fans this past weekend, when the collectible manufacturer Mondo unveiled their upcoming large scale figures they have in the pipeline, all on display (in some form or another) to onlookers at this year’s DesignerCon in the Anaheim Convention Center in California.
For anyone not aware, DesignerCon is an annual convention that is a “celebration of all aspects from the world of design” which “smashes together collectible toys, customs, plush, designer apparel and so much more with urban, underground and pop art!” Mondo had a presence there of course, and they revealed quite a few upcoming Masters of the Universe products coming our way!
Their biggest splash made had to be the Lord of Destruction’s ferocious kitty-cat Panthor, on display in all its glory with spectacular multiple heads (just like Mondo’s Battle Cat figure), and due out late Spring 2023. Price: To-be-determined.
And looking equally as cool is old metal mouth himself, Trap Jaw! He is coming February 2023 at a yet-to-be-determined price, and reportedly has working pistons!
Mondo also unveiled their Anti Eternia He-Man, a limited edition DesignerCon 2022 variant with an edition size of only 1,500 pieces. This figure will also go on sale for a limited time on Mondo’s website mondoshop.com tomorrow, November 22nd, to sell off its remaining balance not sold at the convention. (The time of sale has not been announced at press time and ForEternia.com is not affiliated with Mondo)
And finally we received a glimpse into what is coming down the road from Mondo in their Masters of the Universe line, in the form of awesome concept art, including a brand new Skeletor!
With all of these amazing new Mondo figures in development, it appears Masters of the Universe fans are going to need a bigger shelf!

I’ve been able to acquire them all thus far, all direct from Mondo except for the hot topic exclusive Skeletor. But at the new price points and with Panthor right around the corner, I think I’m going to need an extra job to keep feeding the beast!
@sshook27 Did you deal with any of the QC problems so many people are complaining about?
Only with the She-ra. Â Everyone got the crushed nose and Mondo is making it right. Â Everyone who bought is automatically getting a replacement head. Â I know a lot of people had issues with the new anniversary He-man release, weak waist that falls apart; however, I got lucky and mine is 100%. Â I vigorously tested it just to make sure and it held up perfectly. Â But even with that, Mondo stepped up and is sending everyone who raised an issue with customer service a full new body minus head and accessories. Â
