Mattel dropped a whopper of an announcement this week, as they continued counting down to the 40th Birthday of He-Man via their “MOTUesdays” promotion on their social media pages. Mattel’s latest reveal is the toy company will be releasing Masterverse He-Man and Skeletor Figures with likenesses based on the beloved 1987 film starring actors Dolph Lundgren and Frank Langella!
Here is the official announcement:
At the center of the universe, at the border between the light and the dark, stands… New Masterverse figures! These figures feature authentic detailing, accurate weapon accessories, and packaging art all inspired by the 1987 Masters of the Universe film.
Just earlier this month. we celebrated the 35th Anniversary of the “Masters of the Universe” 1987 live-action film on our social media pages and on ForEternia.com. (If you missed any of that celebration, don’t fret, because we’ve gathered all the commemorate posts and collected them HERE.) So this turned out to be perfect timing for Mattel to release new versions of these movie renditions of He-Man and Skeletor!
Now let’s hope we get other film based Masterverse figures like Evil-Lyn and Pigboy, all released in 35th Anniversary celebration packaging!
Until next time!

These are wicked! The Classics are better but I can’t afford $150 a figure.
