Okay so the we all have heard it the show has not been renewed by Netflix, they have however not yet announced anything!
Is there still hope if enough of us all rewatch it? 🤔
Masterverse wishlist:
Catra 2018 (season 4)
He-Man 2002 (Snake Armor)
King Hissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss 2002
She-Ra 2018 (season 5)
Skeletor 2002
You think the writer don't know what's really goin on and could be wrong? Do Netflix announce the kids shows when they're done?Â
Maybe they want to see if there's more demand for it?

Hmm. I bet there probably has already been a spike in viewership already. I guess anything is possible! Though, if nothing is being worked on now, it would be a long, long time for another season to hit our screens I would suspect unfortunately.
Perhaps being picked up by another streaming service is possible? We've seen that happen with some other shows like the US Tim Allen series "Last Man Standing". 🤔Â

Well my theory is if it is due to lack-luster toy sales there is no saving it, if it is simply Netflix then they could move it to any other service.Okay so the we all have heard it the show has not been renewed by Netflix, they have however not yet announced anything!

A good theory! It would all depend on the contract, contract exclusivity, and what Mattel is getting out of it. I would love to learn all the contractual details. No matter how boring to many, that kind of stuff always interests me for some reason.😄

I get the feeling they are trying to focus on Toy sales. Without a show to get people excited, toy sales are going to hurt. Not saying it would kill off the collectors but usually products without a show generally are collectables that end up costing quite a lot and you have to do some serious picking and chosing unless your rich unlike me.
Â
Honestly, if all of the figures ended up being over $40, I'm not sure if my interest would hold as much. I see that the Club figures are still over the $40 mark but I think I'd rather wait and see what Mattel decides to come out with and pass on other 7" figures.
@bricrue In the vein of what you were saying in regards to having a show to support toy sales, If the series is indeed not renewed for anymore episodes like the writer initially said, with toy manufacturing being so backlogged, I wouldn't be surprised that Mattel is waiting to comment so retailers and consumers still think product fulfillment is for an active series & toy line.

That actually makes sense.

I was in the middle of binging the series when that info dropped. It's not my particular cup of tea for He-Man, but the series was well done.Â

I get that. It's not my preferred incarnation either but it's well made and very funny at times!
In regards to rewatching the series in an effort to help the series, someone reached out to me last week off the record, and unfortunately, I just don't think it will help.😕

@admin I can see that... They're looking for big numbers in toy sales and if that's not happening...
They say that kids in the 80s/90s played with toys until around age 14, but now it's half that. I know that my wife and I were really surprised when our daughter started playing with toys less and less by the time she was 7 or 8.Â

That young her interest faded bro? What did she start getting into in the place of toys?

She's always been more into experiences than things and that has continued to increase as she's gotten older. So, we spend a lot of time with church activities, dance classes, plays, etc. She's teaching herself how to play piano now.Â
Her mom and I are tired, lol.Â
