If you set your goals ridiculously high and it's a failure, you will fail above everyone else's success. -James Cameron
i'm actually very much in favor of this ^^
i loved last year's live-action barbie movie but, to me, it doesn't feel like the type of movie that should have a sequel. i much prefer it as it's own thing.
like this, we can get MORE big deal barbie movies w/o the risk of tainting the legacy/impact of the greta gerwig's movie.
the cgi direct-to-video barbie movies were a STAPLE of my childhood and as someone w a great affinity for those flicks and knows them very well, i can definitely see the potential in a big budget version of a cgi barbie movie.
@adoralovely Me too. I 💗 Barbie but it needed a better kiddie story where it could have led to a sequel. At the end of the movie Barbie isn't even Barbie anymore.
