Kim and I were at Buffalo Wild Wings last Saturday.  A young mother and father and their approximately two-year old daughter were sitting at the table next to ours.  I watched, transfixed, as the mother and father had a conversation, completely oblivious to their daughter, and the little girl happily played on a laptop,  swooping her hand over the screen to reveal new screens, moving the cursor, clicking the mouse.

That is the tip of the iceberg signaling the end of the toy industry as we know it... 

Between social media and gaming, I give it ten years; maybe less.

This is becoming all the more common in the “new” world we live in. No one seems safe . Layoffs and cutbacks everywhere. The one thing in common every company or business has in common is payroll which is the easiest to control. Hours being cut, overtime being taken away or extremely limited or eliminating positions entirely. I’ve seen it with my own eyes and have seen it happen to people I know. Very sad times
