Written by After a two year, excruciatingly long hiatus, the San Diego Comic-Con: International (SDCC) will finally be back in 2022, triumphantly returning this July in the San Diego Convention Center in California.
What has become the convention leader in the world of comics, television and film, this annual celebration connects science fiction and fantasy creators, writers, illustrators, actors, producers and directors directly with the fanbase that loves and supports the media they create. This massive convention is also used as a platform for these creators to make big announcements, and offer exclusive merchandise in relation to our favorite media.
But of course, we at ForEternia.com are hoping for specifically Masters of the Universe announcements & exclusives, especially when it comes to more Masterverse Revelation Figures or news related to the newly announced “Masters of the Universe: Revolution” Netflix series currently in production. Could there be any chance of seeing something connected to that? The odds seem pretty good.
“Masters of the Universe: Revolution” showrunner Kevin Smith has announced that he will be having a large, multi-day presence at SDCC. From hosting live podcasts like “Fat Man Beyond” with co-host Marc Bernardin (who also was a writer on “Masters of the Universe: Revelation”) and “Jay & Silent Bob Get Old” with Jason Mewes (who also voiced the Revelation character Stinkor), there may be a chance that a special Motu guest, or a Revolution cast list, or our first animated glimpse of Hordak is revealed!
Regarding Masterverse figures, from what we understand, Mattel will indeed have a presence at this year’s convention. With Revelation figures like Roboto, SkeleSorceress, and Stratos rumored to be in the works… and even a 40th Anniversary Skeletor!... could fans finally be seeing these figures (and others) officially announced at the San Diego Comic-Con next month? Or will one of these be an exclusive figure available for sale? It’s definitely a possibility!
