ZODAK, BOW and NETOSSA! Oh My! She-Ra characters and more (King Hiss?) seen on the “Masters of the Universe” Movie Set!

The new “Masters of the Universe” Movie coming from Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films has been filming for a while now.

And while some amazing images have thrilled fans recently featuring exciting new set pieces like a partial Castle Grayskull

…and what appears to be a gigantic Eternian Map

…what is equally thrilling is seeing the character illustrations depicted around that map.

Yes, thanks to the very keen eye of the awesome community member @tuskador1981, here are the characters identified circling that map… many of them being She-Ra characters! Check it out:

BOW

NETOSSA

ZODAK (2002 “200X” Series)

KING HISS and PERFUMA?

Seeing illustrations of She-Ra characters is certainly surprising considering there is usually a rights divide between the He-Man and She-Ra rosters.

Are these illustrations a sign that the new “Masters of the Universe” Movie currently in production has access to both franchises? We can only hope!

Filming for “Masters of the Universe” is currently underway with the movie scheduled to be released in cinemas worldwide on June 5th, 2026.

We’ll see you next time!

  1. My theory is these are supposed to be mythological characters representing Eternian constellations. Hiss = Ophiucus, Bow = Orion, Zodak = Libra, Perfuma = Virgo, Netossa = Andromeda, etc.
    In other words, it’s a zodiacal/cosmic chart.

I love your theory Nico! The only possible bump in the road with that would be (unless Eternians named the constellations recently) a main character of She-Ra,  Bow, would be eons old!

    1. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves guys with crazy talk about 3 or 4 sequels – this movie needs to make a ton of money first Laugh King Randor
1 movie wouldn’t come close to doing the MOTU Universe and its vast array of characters justice. It’s a universe that rivals Marvel.

  2. There’s simply way too many cameos and Easter eggs going on here, it suggests real insecurity and heavy fan reliance over bringing in the general public. If nothing else all these characters see their impact lessened if there is a sequel – there’s a big difference between a Marvel credits set-up scene and an elongated neck lol.
