He-Man and Skeletor have joined the Raid!
“RAID: Shadow Legends” is a mobile and PC fantasy themed turn-based role-playing game that takes place in the fictional world of Teleria.
Published by Plarium Games, this fantasy rpg contains various ways to play including a main story campaign mode equipped with boss battles, as well as arenas designed to fight other players.
While this game is technically free-to-play, there are microtransactions available that reportedly become more necessary to players who want to excel in the deeper elements of “Raid”.
And now… the world of Teleria has crossed over with the world of Eternia, bringing both He-Man and Skeletor into the “RAID: Shadow Legends” roster.
From what we understand, while Skeletor is a free playable character, obtaining He-Man requires a microtransaction payment of $60 U.S. for the “Elite Champion Pass“.
This pass will give players the ability to earn He-Man through a reward system, which will result in adding the most powerful man in the universe to a player’s roster.
Here is some additional info:
“Beginning today through January 8, 2025, players can unlock Skeletor, the evil Lord of Destruction, for free through a 14-day loyalty program. To participate, players must log into RAID: Shadow Legends on seven different days before December 25, 2024, to permanently add this Legendary Champion to their roster.
“The heroic defender of Castle Grayskull, He-Man, can be obtained as the final reward of the Elite Champion Pass feature, which allows players to complete Daily Quests and earn exclusive Champion-specific rewards. As a Sacred Order faction member, He-Man serves as a powerful attacker capable of overwhelming any opponent. A basic version of the Champion Pass, which includes a He-Man avatar and other in-game rewards, is available to all players for free. Both tiers of the Champion Pass will run through January 25, 2025, with December 25, 2024 being the last day to enroll. permanently add this Legendary Champion to their roster.”

We get this crap but not Fortnite skins? š”
I wonder why there is no serious MOTU videogame. I recall I have already asked this question in this community forum, but I cannot recall the answer! Sorry! š

PS: unfortunately almost any mobile game is freemium, that means it has tons of macrotransactions. Even it the models are very cool, I’m going to stay away from it. š
So far I stayed away since basically everyone that does not currently promote it mocks it for being a very predatory and simple mobile game. The models look cool though. Everything MOTU/POP is the perfect recipe for an awesome open world and/or MMO experience; almost criminal no one picked it up yet.
Didn’t Rob David say they are working on a game? I seem to remember reading that here somewhere.
@samuel I dare not to hope too much šĀ
I’m open to get pleasantly surprised though. šĀ
